The story behind Camden Dempsey’s nickname

The termGovernorinitially appeared during the previous season after Sanders’ practice conversations with Dempsey impressed him. Dempsey has grown more of a fixture in the locker room, strengthening their bond to the point where he is currently the team’s unofficial spokesperson. Camden’s football journey

In his sophomore year, Camden Dempsey was named to the second team as a junior and senior. Alongside, he was honored to be named an All-Jefferson County three times. Coaches had been training him to play guard following his freshman season, but he was suddenly moved to center. During his sophomore season, he started every snap at center. As a senior and team captain, he then filled in at all five positions along the line. Moreover, he participated in track, particularly the shotput as well as swimming and lettering three times.

His academic performance is also very good. He was a senator from Coolidge and the 2020 Dartmouth Book Award winner. He graduated with a four-year full scholarship from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in 2021, and he was named a CU Leeds Scholar, a Presidents Leadership Class Scholar, and a Boettcher Scholar. The Colorado High School Activities Association twice named him first-team Academic All-State, and he participated in the Les Schwab Tire Centers Academic Team Championship Award program twice.
