Shane Beamer has become a well-known character in the world of CFB, where each triumph is greeted with celebration and each defeat is assessed. When Gamecocks hired him in December 2020, he got a taste of what head coaching was like. Prior to that, he was just a guy trying to make it, and he has even worked as a grad assistant at Georgia Tech. Through it all, his wife Emily has been his rock. She’s more than just a coach’s wife, though. She’s got her own identity!

Emily Beamer was born and raised in Starkville, MS, where she finished her education. As a testament to her dedication to sisterhood and community, she is currently an honored member of the Kappa Delta organization. Having traveled with the MSU football team for sixteen years as a state trooper, Emily’s father fostered her love of college football. She grew up in a college town, so she’s been around football her whole life and loves the game. However, her relationship with the sport was undoubtedly strengthened when she met Shane Beamer.

Still, their encounter is evidence of destiny. She worked in sports media during her college years, often working in the press room at athletic events. That’s where she first met Shane. However, love sparked the moment their eyes met as they stepped out of an elevator. It was like a scene straight out of a romantic movie. And before embarking on a journey to build an existence together, the couple dated for a year. Their union was then acknowledged in June 2006.

Yet, their love persists just like it did when they first saw each other. Even we saw that lately when South Carolina defeated Texas A&M, Emily was the focal point of their triumphant celebration. A little perplexing? Let’s elaborate on the fascinating tale.

Gamecocks players sing Fantasia for Shane Beamer’s Wife

After the Gamecocks’ shocking victory over A&M by a score of 44-20, the players helped the coach in a loving gesture. The victory was celebrated on two occasions: first, together with the throng of spectators that flooded the pitch. Then, they celebrated in the locker room. However, the locker room celebration was in honor of Shane’s wife, Emily, whose birthday is coming up next week.

Beamer called her to the middle of the group, and as per the viral footage, he was heard, stating, “I told my kids all week that if we won this football game, I was going to do a little celebration for her.” As of now, in a display of romance and genuine team spirit, Beamer and his players sang Fantasia’s “When I See U” to Emily. That was really adorable!
