Auburn paid Hugh Freeze a buyout of $15 million. Madison also touched on that subject. “People can say what they want about money,” Madison said, claiming that her dad was promised four years at the program. “Not enough money that can make you feel like this was worth it or we wanted this to happen.”

Her disappointment was evident in every word she spoke. Hugh Freeze came to Auburn after a celebrated record at Ole Miss. Unfortunately, he couldn’t replicate that success with the Tigers. “We came here hoping to restore a program, and we were promised four years,” Madison said, “and that didn’t happen.” She continued. “I get that people didn’t see the results that they wanted in three years, but we all knew that this was gonna be much longer than a three-year rebuild,” Madison said.

Presently, more than 10 head coaches have been fired, with the buyout bonanza reaching a whopping $200 million. “This industry is very tough.” Madi has been a constant support, standing by him.
