The duo posted a GRWM (Get Ready With Me) video on Shelomi’s YouTube channel as they got ready for the Buffs game against the Baylor Bears. While doing Shelomi’s hair, Pilar teased her, saying, “What, you’re so pretty! So, who’s your mom?” Shelomi quickly joked back, “This lady named Michelle. You were second; you were like, Who is?” It was a sweet moment of witty banter between the two.

Despite the light teasing, there’s no doubt Pilar is Shelomi’s biggest supporter. She’s always there to hype her up, even when Shelomi was dealing with a tough decision to leave the Buffs, which sparked some criticism. Through it all, Pilar stood by her daughter’s side.

When Deion Sanders’ blunt reaction to the situation led to a backlash, Pilar took to Instagram, sharing a post of Shelomi wearing her Alabama basketball jersey. The caption read “Babeeeeeee,” showing Pilar’s unconditional love and support. Interestingly, Shelomi’s jersey had the number 22, the same number Deion wore during his NFL days.

Getting a spot on the Alabama A&M basketball team wasn’t easy for Shelomi Sanders, Deion Sanders’ youngest daughter. She decided to enter the transfer portal, even though her dad wasn’t on board with the decision. When asked about it, Shelomi simply explained, “It just wasn’t good energy. It wasn’t good vibes.” She chose Alabama over the CU Buffs, and this created some tension between her and her father.

Coach Prime didn’t hold back, even calling Shelomi’s transfer move “stupid.” His blunt remarks led to speculation that their relationship was strained after the incident. Adding fuel to the rumors, Deion playfully teased her on Instagram, posting, “@shelomisanders thinks she’s #1 in my kids’ rankings. I love u baby, but you’re NOT #1 right now. Your sister @deiondrasanders is because she just had her Lil Baby.”

But it seems like this is all part of the Sanders family’s lighthearted banter. Shortly after, Shelomi was seen at the Colorado Buffs’ game against the Baylor Bears, wearing a shirt claiming she’s the No.1 kid out of Deion’s five children. It looks like the father-daughter duo is handling their past disagreements with humor, keeping things fun and playful as they move forward, especially during the 2024 game season.
