Travis Hunter is undoubtedly the star of the game between Colorado and North Dakota State. It’s no wonder he’s basking under the limelight of several high-profile figures in the Buffs’ 2024 kickoff. Thanks to his three receiving touchdowns from Shedeur Sanders, the Buffs have a clear chance of winning their season opener in year 2 of Deion Sanders’ leadership. 

The performance that Travis Hunter is delivering in the game is already raising his NFL draft stocks considerably. A lot of big names are in attendance watching the game, including Terrell Owens and LeBron James, among others. Even South Carolina Women’s basketball HC had to drop her take on the awesome play of the Buffs star.

Travis Hunter’s incredible execution in the season opener has left everybody gasping in wonder thinking if he’s human! It’s not surprising that he caught the attention of some of the prominent names in sports including Dawn Staley. In her X post on August 29, Staley showered her admiration for the Buffs’ star’s unrivaled athleticism saying, “Boy you are a baaaaadddddd man!!!”

Travis Hunter scored his third TD for the debut season game with the latest 3-yard TD pass from Shedeur Sanders. In what is an impossible catch, the two-way phenom lived up to his hype by catching a narrow pass from Shedeur in tight coverage to lead Colorado 31 against NDSU’s 20. It was a fingertip grab that propelled the Buffs forward. He’s already secured 132 yards and three TDs in the final quarter of the game. And Staley isn’t the only big name singing his praises.

Travis Hunter receives high praise for performance 

The last TD that Travis Hunter executed left everyone in shock as they marveled his athleticism. After ESPN’S play-by-play commentator Roddy Jones described the unbelievable move as a “glitch,” Arizona Cardinals DE JJ Watt took to his X account and wrote, “‘That was a glitch on EA Sports.’ What a great way to describe that Travis Hunter catch. Incredible snag.” And he’s not the only one shocked to wonder.

Even NBA champion LeBron James who lauded the chemistry between Shedeur and Travis’ opening TD also joined in. Watching Hunter’s insane and inhuman catch, he gave a wholesome reaction on his X stating in full caps, “MAN TRAVIS HUNTER IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!
