2024 bears witness to arguably one of the biggest rap feuds of the century. What started with simple back-and-forth spiraled out of control and entered illegal territories. Now we cannot talk about all that, but what we can say for sure is Drake filing that lawsuit in November against UMG automatically makes him the loser in this fight. Not only that. You cannot sit there and say Kendrick Lamar‘s “Not Like Us” and “Euphoria” were pretty much the final nail in Drake’s metaphorical coffin. You cannot come back from that. The Canadian rapper tried with “Family Matters” and “The Heart Part 6”, but Lamar pretty much sealed the deal with “Meet the Grahams”.

But here is the deal. Do you think this entire feud was even worth it? They should’ve just solved it behind the scenes, right? But then again, this is what makes the rap and hip-hop culture “fire”. Too much bland food ruins your day. You gotta put in that spice from time to time. However, college football’s biggest rockstar doesn’t think so. On the 3rd episode of ‘We Got Time’, the talk show featuring Rocsi Diaz and Deion Sanders, Coach Prime came clear with his take on the entire feud. “I don’t like two brothers going at it… I don’t like the back and forth. I don’t like any of that stuff because it’s always going to be casualties and I don’t like that,” Coach Prime mentioned.

See, our favorite Buffs HC has dabbled in the music scene as well. Back in 1994, the album ‘Prime Time’ was dropped. The best part? This album managed to hit the No.70 rank on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop album list. The massive single “Must Be the Money” was even featured on SNL.

Then again, Coach Prime has also had his fair share of music-related drama. While this is not similar to the Drake and Lamar feud, Deion Sanders was in some major controversy during the entire CU band scenario. When Buffs were in a bad position against the Huskers, it was alleged that Coach Prime had asked the CU band not to play Shedeur Sanders‘ ‘fight song’. Yeah, all of it was false. Some drama a 5-year-old will think of.

Regardless, Coach Prime makes sense when he says that all of those feuds make no sense. All it does is just harm the artist’s character. Not only that. The ‘casualties’ Deion Sanders mentioned are very real, and we have seen those happen throughout history. Not just for artists, but for football folks as well.

UCLA Football Coach drama

Sal Alosi didn’t exactly have the best reputation in college football. The NFL had already suspended this guy back in 2019 because he tripped a player. Regardless, this drama was between Alosi and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

See, Justin Combs, Diddy’s son, was part of the defensive line for the UCLA Bruins. Now, Alosi was the assistant coach back at UCLA and the entire altercation between him and Diddy happened because Alosi was allegedly “riding Combs hard”. He was basically treating the kid pretty badly and also remarked, “I don’t care if your dad’s here. This is UCLA.”

This led to Diddy showing up in Alosi’s office after the practice session and then allegedly hitting him with a kettlebell. Now there are a lot of mixed updates on this entire situation. Some people say nothing like this happened, and some say that Diddy was in the wrong. Regardless, things that could be solved with words don’t require fists or “diss tracks”.
