Bill Goldberg, the veteran WCW and WWE icon, has more than one reason to be proud of. He is a legend himself under the squared circle, and that’s still not a forgotten history. However, he had his short-lived legacy written on the NFL field as well. Eventually, his son, Gage Goldberg, carries the strongest testament to his football gene and brushes it up further under Coach Prime’s premium stewardship. Guess who is all over the moon seeing his son do what he does best on a holiday homecoming?
The kid had a hot start to his career in the Samuel V. Championship high school at Boerne, Texas. His earnest excellence and sincerity garnered him a walk-on offer from none other than the NFL biggie, coach Deion Sanders. The rest is a tale of a son carrying the torch of his father’s deprived dream. As he is back in practice with the Buffs for the upcoming Valero Alamo Bowl, his WWE superstar dad felt it all at once.
The in-ring Hall of Famer was all happy, nostalgic, and proud while wringing out his emotions. In an interview with SBG San Antonio’s Matt Roy on Tuesday, elder Goldberg said, “Well, I mean, if I was a studio producer, I couldn’t have written a script better than this one. I mean, truly, it’s unreal. But everything happens for a reason. We’ve gone to every home game. We are ecstatic to have him 20 minutes down the road from Boerne for the next five days and probably two weeks after that. So, it’s truly a blessing. It really is.”

It was just an echo of the eternal Goldberg sentiment ever since his son joined the tide. Bill Goldberg once tested his football skills with Deion Sanders by his side as a part of the Atlanta Falcons. But he couldn’t proceed far with helmets and pads. The legend found a solidified footing in WWE by the time, and football took a back seat. Years later, when his son handpicked the same Deion Sander, Colorado Buffs as his first collegiate home, Goldberg, being a little mushy, made perfect sense.
Back in January, when Goldberg left Boulder to board a flight to Texas after handing his son to his great friend c-m peer Deion Sanders, the WWE mogul felt a bittersweet taste in his mouth. The pain of being away from his son and the deep-seated joy of pushing his son toward the first adult step to his football dream came across each other and left numb after a collision.
Now, Gage’s Colorado era is again in the spotlight, with the freshman having a great chance to make it big on Saturday’s gig against the BYU Cougars. While all the emotion runs high for the father-son duo, Colorado Linebacker coach Andre Hard set the bar high for the players. He demanded some extra effort and extra push from his boys to get the job done at Texas like they do in Colorado.
Whether or not Gage can take center stage for the Buffs in the bowl season is subject to debate, but Gage, the son of the WWE blueblood, made sure his dad’s WWE move carries on with him.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Gage Goldberg the next big thing in football, or should he follow his dad to WWE?

Gage Goldberg put his WWE thematics in action on the field
In a candid interview, Bill Apter asked the young prodigy if he uses his father’s WWE move, the spear, on his teammates on the field. The kid hilariously revealed he did. Keep your guard up, folks! he got that wrestling aggression not only on his blood but in his arms and legs as well. He once broke someone’s neck with a spear.

”Oh, yeah, in high school football, for sure, Up here at Colorado, not yet. I’ve got in the game a little bit, but I haven’t speared anyone yet, but in high school, I definitely did. I broke someone’s neck before,”
Good for the Buffs, but they have to be all careful not to get speared by an 18-year-old.
So, do we see the lad trying his feet on the wrestling ring as well? Well, food for thought! Gage Goldberg once shared that Triple H keeps the door open for him, and he is just one call away from a WWE future. He likes The Game a little too much. He made some sporadic appearances in the ring, too. The rest depends on his stars and life dynamic down the road.

But for now, he has his eyes hooked on Deion Sanders and a more bountiful career at Boulder.
