Nick Saban humbled by Miss Terry—Is she the real MVP behind his success?

This Saturday, the college football world got a crazy surprise as Miss Terry Saban, wife of the OG coach Nick Saban, made her debut as a celebrity guest on ESPN’s “College GameDay.” The most hit show of college football, which was hosted in Tuscaloosa for the thrilling Alabama vs. Georgia game spread excitement and gave a touch of rivalry to it. Saban, famous for his competitive nature, got outsmarted by his wife during the show. Everyone had to give their picks for Saturday’s games, and let’s say, it didn’t go how Nick Saban may have hoped.

As per Miss Terry, Nick Saban kept trying to look at what she had picked; “he keeps wanting to see them. He’s just that way. He’s very competitive about everything.” As they started predicting, the environment became quite intense because the couple disagreed on most of their choices, except for some. There were, in total six teams for which their prediction was the same. Both of them agreed on Oklahoma’s win over Auburn. Penn State over Illinois; BYU over Baylor; Kansas State over Oklahoma State. Even for the most unpredictable matchup, Alabama vs. Georgia, they picked Alabama over the Bulldogs. At last, they came to the same ground for choosing Ole Miss over Kentucky; however, the results differed from their last pick.

But here comes the fun part: Saban and Miss Terry couldn’t agree on either of their predictions. There were three main disagreements between them. First, Miss Terry predicted that North Carolina would win the game; however, as per Nick Saban, Duke would win. It turned out that Saban was predicting right when Duke pulled off a victory.

In addition to that, Miss Terry chose Notre Dame. On the other hand, Nick Saban predicted Louisville would win; however, as we all know, Notre Dame later came out victorious, ticking one more mark on Terry’s list. And at last, the couple disagreed on the most sensitive game of the week. When Nick Saban went first and selected UCF to win against Colorado, Miss Terry intervened and took their good friend Deion Sanders’ side by choosing Colorado buffs over UCF. By the end of the day, she outperformed Nick Saban with a track record of 7-2 compared to Saban’s 5-4. She even exclaimed with overjoy at the end, saying, “I told you I’d outsmart him!

Miss Terry teases Nick Saban for picking against their friend Deion Sanders

Before the Week 5 games, a lot of analysts favored UCF over the Buffs in their matchup. The reasons? Buffs’ O-line issues and UCF’s undefeated record. However, the result was unexpectedly in favor of the away team as they trounced UCF by 48-21. Among the analysts who doubted Deion Sanders’ team was his friend, Nick Saban. As per Saban, “UCF’s gonna run the ba–, sharing the game, limit Colorado’s opportunities.” Well, Deion wasn’t the only one surprised by that.

On College GameDay, where Saban made this pick, his wife, Miss Terry, was also present. She didn’t accept Saban picking UCF over their friend. “You snubbed Deion? He texted you this week and said what a great job you were doing. I got your back, Deion,” Miss Terry said.
