To Svitolina’s adorable post announcing her engagement to the veteran Frenchman, emerging Australian tennis star Daria Gavrilova left a comment, asking her Ukrainian peer to share a video of the proposal.

“We are waiting for the video, please say you have the proposal video,” Gavrilova posted.

The World Number 5 replied that the idea of having his proposal shot didn’t occur to her would-be husband as he was too busy getting over his diffidence as he bent down on his knee to pop the question.

The pair, who had been going steady since 2019, had recently posted that they had decided to mutually separate while asking fans to respect their privacy.

On the career front, Monfils is passing through a career slump while his partner is doing significantly better.

The Frenchman crashed out in the opening round of this year’s Australian Open after losing to rising Finnish star Emil Ruusuvuori.
