Among Us has perhaps come to be the most popular multiplayer title out there right now. The 2018 title from the house of Innersloth saw a massive growth spurt in its player base last year. Of course, the fact that almost the entirety of the human race was stuck in their homes with nothing but videogames to keep them company, had some role to play in this. Moreover, Among Us emulates the experience of playing fun party games with friends, especially since the premise of this game is akin to the party game “Werewolf/Mafia”.

The simple, minimalist gameplay is surely one of the major selling points of the game. However, the aspect of the game that has come to be the most popular right now, is the presence of mods. With massive popularity, the player community of the game wanted more from the title.

Devs at Innersloth had scrapped their work for the sequel to Among Us to work on adding new content to the original title. However, the community wanted more from the game still and took matters into its own hands.

Emulate the role of a Bounty Hunter with the Among Us Mandalorian mod

Of all the mods that we have seen in the game, most of the ones grant insane powers to variations of the impostor role. For instance, we have seen the robot mod, the hunter mod, and last but not the least, the nuke mod, which is exactly what it sounds like. The most popular mods are, of course, those that have a reference to a popular character or theme.

Recently, the popular YouTube content creator, AlexAcePlays, demonstrated a Mandalorian mod in the game. The Mandalorian mod in the game is a variation of the impostor role. Like the original bounty hunter, this role receives bounties as well for the heads of certain crewmates. This sort of reminds us of the Assassin mod as well.

At the beginning of the round, the Mandalorian will be told which crewmate has a bounty on their head. However, it goes beyond saying that the Mandalorian can slay others as well. In fact, if he can slay multiple enemies, he is given killstreaks.

His weapons include a laser pistol and a sniper rifle, in addition to the usual poisoned knife. The Sniper Rifle is an extremely overpowered weapon that allows the character to shoot crewmates across the map.

This goes on to show this character’s popularity. It was only a matter of time before he made his way into Among Us as well.
