Over the past few weeks, Call of Duty players have received a lot of exciting news. The developers at Activision recently announced the arrival of a new multiplayer game arriving later this year titled Vanguard. Along with that, they also talked about finally adding the long-awaited feature of an anti-cheat in Warzone as well.

For the past few months, players in the game have had to face a lot of rampant cheating. Every lobby used to have cheaters and hackers on it, and the experience had become so bad that players switched over to other titles. Fans of the title saw streamers like Nickmercs and Courage mover over to play Apex Legends. But with this new anti-cheat, it seems like the developers will soon clean up its act and improve the game for the fans.

The deteriorating condition of Call of Duty: Warzone

Over the past few months, players have had to face a lot of troubles because of hackers and cheaters. The developers at Raven Software had implemented ban waves to remove them. However, they always seemed to return quite quickly causing a lot of headaches for both the developers and the genuine players. This caused players to feel worried about the popular Battle Royale title because of the deteriorating quality.

Things continued to become worse before popular streamers and players left the game to play other titles. Games like Fortnite and Apex Legends became quite famous as Warzone continued to struggle with hackers. Many players complained that ban waves weren’t the way to go, and begged with Warzone developers to add an anti-cheat.

Arrival of anti-cheat is a massive moment

Things finally took a turn recently, when the developers announced the arrival of an anti-cheat. The game will receive it around the release of franchise’s next title in Call of Duty: Vanguard later this year. Along with that, many cheaters even reported that their accounts are receiving hardware bans, which is a major positive as well. Plus, Warzone even had another massive ban wave recently with over 100,000 accounts receiving suspensions. All these announcements and initiatives have caused fans to applaud the efforts of the developers to fix things up.

However, fans know that this isn’t the end, and there is a long way to go in this fight against hackers. Call of Duty: Warzone has added some systems to prevent hackers from having a good time. But, the game still needs a robust anti-cheat to handle different threats, and fans hope that the developers can provide that soon.
