USA is leading Olympics medal chart in the shooting sport. For the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, a blend of young and experienced shooters will represent the nation. Interestingly, two members of the Leverett family have reached this feat.

USA’s Henry Leverett and Jack Leverett III are going to compete in the 25m rapid fire pistol event at Tokyo Olympics. Initially, Jack was in the reserve team for 25m; however, following the suspension of another shooter, he was promoted.

The young boys got into shooting sport at a very early age, with Henry picking up his gun at 7 in 2008. Their father, Jack Leverett, coaches the entire family, including the youngest of the lot, Abbie.

Jack III (21) is the eldest brother, followed by Henry (20) and Abbie (18). All three take part in the 25m events and are part of the Ohio state pistol team.

Notably, Henry won the Olympic quota in his maiden 2019 ISSF World Cup, Beijing. It was also the USA’s first quota in 25m pistol men’s event for Tokyo Olympics.

His older brother Jack is also not far behind, as he won the Gold medal at the 2021 ISSF World. The Leverett family has been quite successful in the sport.

The shotgun team has been the USA’s most successful team at the Summer Olympics. While Olympians will vie for maintaining their records, the youngsters will aim for their maiden Olympic medals. Here is the list of Team USA shooting for the Tokyo Olympics 2021.

Pistol:

10m air pistol: James Hall, Nick Mowrer
