**TLDR** — The verdict is in, and it's lopsided. A commanding 77% of NASCAR fans (465 of 607 votes) called the Go Bowling at The Glen a good race, while just 23% disagreed. Shane van Gisbergen's masterclass on the road course captivated the majority, with one reader gushing it was the "best race in years on any kind of track" and another calling SVG's charge through the field an "awesome experience." Even some Yes voters had gripes — frustration at NASCAR adding 10 laps that turned the finish into a fuel-mileage chess match instead of flat-out racing. The No camp leaned on a familiar complaint: runaway road races are predictable, with one fan arguing a ringer dominating by six or seven seconds isn't really a race at all. Still, the numbers don't lie — three out of four fans walked away entertained, and SVG remains the road-course king fans love to watch.

It kept me guessing who would win until the last laps. A shame they added 10 more laps, creating a gas mileage race where drivers had to be conservative, instead of simply RACING. Very DUMB move by Nascar!!

SVG got out far enough that made it boring at first then nobody had anything for him later in the race. He's not worth a shit on anything but road courses so him winning today makes him eligible for the chase when he said he wasn't going to contend for it so he took somebody's spot that was going to contend.

I only got to read about it because i can't afford all the pay per view channels that Nascar has now in it's greed for money. So i get my speed fix with NHRA and INDY CAR RACING watching Nascar is a thing of the past for me.

It was a good, clean race. I enjoyed it very much. I just don't like people (news) talking rude about the drivers. They are doing their best. Also fines should be equal for all; not the ones Nascar choses to not fine.

I missed the 1st stage and half of the 2nd stage, but the last stage was exciting to watch. SVG drove the wheels off that Chevy. The 54 and 88 were fun to watch too.

When one driver dominates a race by 6 or 7 seconds there is no race. You want a good race then there should be a chance for other racers to win.

Shane in the 97 car sets a fire under the top drivers with how much faster a road course can be handled. Watching Shane drive through the pack to take the lead was an awesome experience. Well done Shane.

Best race in years on any kind of track...thank you SVG! BUT stupid nascar idiots will find some way to make it not good! And I, along with most fans are so tired of seeing "bubber walrus" 23 blame everyone but himself for his stupidity! When are the "geniuses" at crapcar gonna fine his stupid ass and shut him up?

It seems that the ending was very exciting but I missed it! I went to sleep. Really don't know at the point I went to sleep. Have sat through some boring races bit have NEVER gone to sleep during any race!!!! So....it must have been boring for me to fall asleep. Don't truly like the road races so think it's time to spend it some other way...good book, maybe.

One of the greatest drives ever! SVG took advantage of fresh tires and plenty of gas to slice through the field. Announcers and rival crew chiefs were dumbfounded by his run back to the lead. With a decent car, SVG is still the guy to beat on road courses.

What was so good about the race, I turned the station, and watched an old Clint Eastwood movie, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, I don't know who done the polling, they must have been drunk, and now you know why NASCAR's TV ratings are terrible!

Why did you change the tires??? Three was never any marbles there before. Now you only have one lane, on Saturday they had multiple lanes. The extra power and laps is great, but, you need to finish the whole equation... Try putting up a race the old fashioned way, you know, no stages just full racing. Put the pit crews in the race also. You as NASCAR, you are destroying stock car racing.......
