Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua just cleared the air about his relationship status after weeks of speculation tied him to several well-known celebrities. During an appearance on the One Night with Steiny podcast, he addressed the chatter directly while reflecting on his eventful offseason.

“I’m just trying to meet some new friends; enjoy meeting people in LA…” he said. “I should definitely use the private membership spot that I have more often. Invite all my new friends over there… I am currently single.”

However, the rumors did not appear out of nowhere. For instance, Nacua had earlier been linked to actress Sydney Sweeney after he playfully responded to comments she made in a Cosmopolitan interview. In that conversation, the actress described herself as a “sporty” person and said she would ideally date someone “athletic, outgoing, and funny.”

Sweeney also mentioned that activities like mountain climbing and skydiving would be perfect couple adventures. Naturally, that description caught the attention of the Rams’ receiver. Soon after, Nacua jumped into the conversation in a subtle but noticeable way. He reposted the snippet and added a short message that instantly sparked discussion across social media.

“Love skydiving,” he wrote on X.

Almost immediately, fans began connecting the dots and wondering if the Rams wideout was trying to impress the Hollywood star. Meanwhile, the attention around his dating life did not start this offseason. Earlier, Puka Nacua had a very public relationship with Hallie Aiono, with whom he shares a son, that began during his college years and lasted into his rise with the Rams. However, their split in 2025 quickly became complicated after Aiono’s pregnancy announcement and a paternity filing that later played out in court.

Still amid all this chatter, Nacua continued to be seen around Los Angeles with several high-profile personalities in recent times. He was spotted walking arm-in-arm with comedian Hannah Stocking in Hollywood. Shortly afterward, he attended the Daytona 500 alongside wrestling star Charlotte Flair.

In mid-February, Nacua was seen with fitness influencer Sara Saffari at a mall, enjoying food together. As a result, dating rumors again started swirling online. That’s not all, the Rams star was also spotted at a Los Angeles Kings game rinkside with social media personality Megan Eugenio, better known online as Overtime Megan. However, all these rumors were immediately shut down when Nacua confirmed that he is single.

The speculation gained traction earlier this week when a viral post claimed that Puka Nacua and Sara Saffari were romantically involved. The caption also pointed out that the Rams wideout, 24, and Saffari, 25, are only a year apart in age. Meanwhile, the post leaned on their recent public outings to support the claim.

“Nacua has been spotted out in public with Saffari twice in the last couple of weeks,” the caption reads. “Puka’s love life has been a major story throughout the off-season. 👀👀👀”

Earlier signs of the rumored connection appeared in a YouTube clip posted by Nick Nayersina on February 23. In that video, the Rams pass catcher and Saffari were seen spending time together at a Topgolf location in the Los Angeles area. They laughed, chatted, and seemed comfortable around each other.

Meanwhile, friends in the video repeatedly described them as a “great duo” and even a “power duo.” Naturally, those comments only pushed the speculation further across social media.

Then things heated up again a few days later. On February 28, another clip began circulating on TikTok showing the two walking through an airport. Nacua wore a black hoodie with sunglasses, while Saffari appeared in a green tank top. Some viewers even believed the pair was holding hands.

At the time, though, neither side addressed the rumors publicly, and Nacua’s PR team declined to comment. Now the picture looks much clearer, as Saffari and Nacua both suggest the connection may simply be friendly.
