NBA All-Star weekend started in Indianapolis, including multiple events, such as the All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday. This game is graced by multiple notable celebrities, including NFL stars: defensive stud Micah Parsons and rookie sensation CJ Stroud. Ahead of the game against each other, the two had a pregame interview, wherein they shared their plans on what they were aiming for tonight. When asked if he wanted to set the bar for 40-point goals tonight, Stroud stepped away from making any promise.

He revealed that he is looking forward to “just gonna play hard,” and “just wanna win” the game. Whereas, Parsons has some different opinions, as he informed that he is looking to defeat Stroud. The Cowboys linebacker, snubbed off the aim of becoming an MVP in the game, instead, said that he aims to “locking him [Stroud] down,” while playing against him, making a statement for the upcoming 2024 season as well.

In addition to the Celebrity Game, this weekend features a “Slam Dunk competition, three-point contest, and an eagerly awaited 3-point showdown between Steph Curry and Sabrina Ionescu.”

Along with Parsons and Stroud, Chiefs star player Mecole Hardman, donning an impressive jersey also joined them in the basketball game. Parsons was playing under team Shannon, whereas, Stroud and Hardman were playing against him, under team Stephen A. Smith.

The 2024 NBA All-Star celebrity game saw Team Shannon and Team Stephen A. facing off in a thrilling matchup, entertaining the Indiana crowd with a display of star power. In a close contest, Team Shannon secured a 100-91 victory, with Micah Parsons showing his brilliant power in the game.

Therefore, the MVP title went to the Cowboys linebacker, who delivered a standout performance with an impressive 37-point and 16 rebounds, making a significant impact on his team’s success.

Despite falling slightly short of his halftime prediction of 40 points, Parsons left the NBA world impressed with his skills and carried home well-deserved hardware.
