A player from college basketball is going viral for all the wrong reasons! He’s being compared to the greatest active QB. And no, it’s not for the reasons that you might think. Evan Washburn caught up with Jaelen House at the hardwood court. And what fans saw, or rather heard, blew their minds.

As he prepares to follow in the footsteps of his father and make it big in the NBA, could one of his qualities give him an edge? After all, Mahomes himself claimed that his unique voice helps him stand out.

In sports, players often share similar attributes. Maybe in the way they play or even in their gestures? But guess what’s got everyone talking now? It’s not about how they move or play, but how they sound. Yeah, college basketball’s Jaelen House and Patrick Mahomes, the NFL’s superstar QB, could pretty much be voice twins!

And no, we’re not saying that. Barstool Sports put up an on-court interview of him, with the words, “College basketball has found its Patrick Mahomes”. His voice is eerily similar to Mahomes. He is the son of former Celtics player Eddie House and currently plays for New Mexico.

Ever heard the one about Patrick Mahomes and Kermit the Frog? Fans have been joking about it for a while now. And guess what? Mahomes totally owns it. At Super Bowl Opening Night, one reporter asked him to do his best Kermit impression. He humorously said, “I’m talking right now… That’s it.”

He’s been down this road before, even at last year’s Super Bowl Opening Night, shrugging off the jabs with a smile. “People make fun of my voice for my entire life,” he said. Mahomes takes it all in stride, seeing his voice as something that sets him apart, “But it’s unique, so maybe I’ll get a deal from that for having that unique voice.” Even HC Andy Reid gets in on the action, doing his best Mahomes voice impersonation. Mahomes says it’s their way of keeping him grounded.

Jaelen might be the Patrick Mahomes of basketball when it comes to his voice. But can he emulate his father and become an ace NBA player as well?
