“Hire Coach Prime”: Frustrated Robert Griffin III Wants Mike McCarthy To Get Fired, Suggests Deion Sanders Signing To Save The Cowboys

A popular opinion on the internet is that Mike McCarthy should be fired. After an embarrassing loss to the Green Bay Packers, Dak Prescott took some of the blame that would have otherwise gone to the HC. However, people are not even thinking about improving the coaching situation; they just want a replacement after seeing tonight’s game. The former veteran QB, Robert Griffin III had some thoughts of his own to share.
Griffin tweeted out in support of sacking McCarthy and suggested that Coach Prime should take the reins of the Dallas Cowboys. Whenever we hear a rumor about coaches getting fired, it usually comes true. Maybe the same can be said about McCarthy. However, the more we think about it, the more gravitas Sanders joining the Cowboys as the head coach holds.

Griffin posted a video on X titled, “The Cowboys need to fire Mike McCarthy and hire Coach Prime.” The ex-QB started by saying that he felt bad for the Cowboys fans. He supported his views by mentioning how the Cowboys lost despite having top-tier talent on the team. The veteran added how it’s been 28 years that the Cowboys haven’t won a championship game or a Super Bowl.

The Cowboys failed to do so despite having made 12 consecutive playoff appearances. For Griffin, it all boils down to the Cowboys’ coaching staff. This period is the longest in NFL history that a team has gone by without entering a championship game or an SB title. While many think that Bill Belichick would be an obvious choice as far as coaching is concerned, Griffin thinks that the Cowboys should “hire Coach Prime.”

For Griffin, it was the culture that Deion Sanders represents that would benefit the Cowboys. The “winning mentality” that Sanders might bring to the table would be unparalleled. But if Sanders takes over the Cowboys, there will be a catch.

There are a plethora of reasons to hire Coach Prime. Firstly, he has the experience to do so because he played with the Cowboys. Secondly, he changed the culture at Jackson State and the Colorado team and instilled a winning mentality in those athletes. Not to mention the amount of attention, money, and publicity he will bring to Jerry Jones.
Lastly, if he goes to the Cowboys, he might bring his QB son, Shedeur Sanders, along for the ride. Sure, he might be overshadowed by Dak Prescott, but it will be a perfect opportunity for him to learn the ropes of the NFL. The idea is hyperbole at best right now, but by the nature of things, nothing is impossible in the NFL.
