Aaron Rodgers had left the Jets squad concerned with VP ambition rumors. People were speculating that he could be the running mate for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. However, nothing of that sort has been confirmed by the 4x NFL MVP himself. He did go off the radar for some time following the VP rumors, but the reason for that is unknown. However, it seems he was simply busy trying his hand at another game.

It was announced last year that flag football would be a game in the Paris Summer Olympics. Football is a physically demanding sport, but its flag version is much kinder to players. After his September injury that saw him sidelined for the entire 2023 season, could the veteran QB be diving in flag football?

Aaron Rodgers recently took part in a celebrity flag football event. There he was, promoting both the spirit of sportsmanship with charitable efforts as the news of him becoming VP was spreading like wildfire. RX3 Growth Partners- co-founded by A-Rod himself- organized the charity flag football event held at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California. The Jets’ QB led a squad of celebrities from the worlds of sports and entertainment.

While fans are rooting for the 40-year-old to participate in flag football even at the Paris Summer Olympics, nothing’s been confirmed yet. Flag football aside, there is clarity over his political ambitions at least, much to the relief of the Jets.

RFK Jr. shuts rumors around Rodgers as running mate

In a recent turn of events, RFK Jr. put an end to the speculation, subtly indicating that Rodgers isn’t going to be his VP pick. At a gathering, he addressed his followers, saying, “It’s not anyone people have been talking about.” TheJetPress, weighing in on the matter on X, speculated, “That would presumably rule out Aaron Rodgers.”

Pro Football Talk also cast doubt over the weekend on Rodgers’s foray into the political realm. They pointed out that the veteran QB hasn’t hinted at any political ambitions to his team. However, he had seemingly gone off-grid recently. Jets’ Sauce Gardner humorously remarked, “that’s why he ain’t been answering my text messages.”

But now, with his RX3 appearance, we sure know where he is. And now that it’s clear that he won’t be running for VP, the recovering QB can focus on getting back stronger for the 2024 season for the Jets.
