The Cleveland Browns are hosting the arrival team, the New York Jets, in Week 17. The matchup is set to begin at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. Before the matchup, the teams released their final injury report and Jets have a new entry i.e. of Aaron Rodgers.

The Jets are coming off a win against Washington, and now are with 6 wins and 9 losses in the AFC East division. While, on the other hand, the Browns are too, coming off a win over Texans 36-22, and now holds 10 wins and 5 losses in the AFC North. Now ahead of this game, both the teams listed their seven players on the injury list, including Amari Cooper from the Browns, and Rodgers from the Jets.

Aaron Rodgers is back on the roster list after his weeks of absence due to Achilles injury. But he isn’t alone in the list. A-Rod is joined by WR Allen Lazard due to illness. QB Zach Wilson, who suffered a concussion in the team’s loss to the Miami Dolphins, has not played yet, and this time again he is on the list. Besides them, OL Austin Deculus, TE Jeremy Ruckert, DL Carl Lawson, and CB Bryce Hall, are all inactives for the game. In place of Wilson, the Jets will start Trevor Siemian against the Browns.

On the other hand, the Browns, too, put their seven players on IR. They are WR Amari Cooper (NIR – rest, heel), LB Anthony Walker Jr., K Dustin Hopkins (left hamstring), Corey Bojorquez (left quad), Ogbo Okoronkwo, Luke Wypler, and Sam Kamara. From Browns, QB Joe Flacco will join as the starter against the courtesy team.

Joe Flacco’s comeback is gaining momentum. In the recent game, he set a franchise receiving record with 265 yards to Amari Cooper in a 36-22 victory over Houston. Now, he has a chance for another achievement in a game against his former team. His win will help reach the Browns in the AFC playoff berth.

The 38-year-old QB’s arrival has unexpectedly improved the Browns’ offense. In just 4 games, he has become the team’s passing leader with 1307 yards, even surpassing Deshaun Watson. Flacco has thrown for 1000 plus yards in three back-to-back wins, a feat he achieved only once before in his 2012 Super Bowl campaign with the Ravens.

Cleveland fans are keeping their hope with Flacco, and are eagerly awaiting for another playoff spot after 2020.
