The Jets have a lot of hope for their quarterback, but with his Achilles recovery and age being the factor, the speculations on his performances are on.

However, as the Jets move forward with the aim of winning the AFC, some NFL analysts suggest some roadblocks for the team. One is Josh Allen’s army, the Buffalo Bills.

In the latest episode of SPEAK, Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, LeSean McCoy and James Jones debated over whether Aaron Rodgers and his Jets would win the AFC East this time. Especially because they have made a few additions to the team, while their rival Bills have lost several key players this offseason. The hosts highlighted Rodgers’ presence in the team and debated whether the Jets could surpass the Bills and Dolphins in the division. She expressed, “The AFC East is wide open. It seems right the Bills have taken a step back, the Dolphins had a three-game lead, and couldn’t get it done last year, when the Bills had to play unbelievable football down the stretch just pull off a miracle to even get there and the Dolphins still found a way to hand it to them. But it’s the Jets…the Jets history and what they’ve done for the past 13 years doesn’t matter and the fact that Aaron Rogers hasn’t been to the playoffs…..the last time he was with the Packers, he missed and then didn’t throw for over 300 yards.

The analyst further added that she doesn’t think the Jets will win the AFC East, as “the Bills have taken a step back but I’d like to see what they look like they still have the best quarterback [Allen] in the division.

Last year on the Rich Eisen show, Josh Allen appeared as a guest, where he talked about his admiration for Aaron Rodgers. At that time, they were about to face each other in the season, and Allen had all good things to say about him. He mentioned that he looked up to Rodgers since he was young, not just for his skills on the field, but also for how he carries himself off the field. Despite Rodgers being older, they have a good friendship.

Allen highlighted his respect for the senior Pro, saying, “Aaron Rodgers’ one of those guys that I grew up watching and want to emulate on the field….But him as a person and how he has handled himself over whatever he has played. He’s an old guy now but we have a pretty good friendship. They’ve played us really well the last couple of years….I think you know adding Aaron Rodgers as the first-ballot Hall of Famer. It’s always tough to go out against those types of guys.

Although as mentioned by him it was tough to play against him, Allen’s team was the one who knocked out Rodgers from the season after sacking him on the ground within four snaps.

And now as Rodgers is coming back in the 2024 season, it remains to be seen how well he is prepared for the battle against Josh Allen’s team, the Bills.
