Last year, Commanders GM Adam Peters and Eagles GM Howie Roseman made a suitable arrangement. Peters first signed the LSU QB Jayden Daniels in the first round (2nd overall). But they gave the 2nd round pick (40th overall) to the NFC East rival. The Eagles used that pick to draft the Iowa CB Cooper DeJean. He finished the season with a pick-six on Patrick Mahomes in Super Bowl LIX. Before that, they snubbed the Commanders by 55-23, a playoff record. This rubbed Peters the wrong way.
This year, Howie Roseman called up Adam Peters before the NFL Draft. Initially, they had the 32nd pick and wanted to jump to the 29th pick. Their target was the Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell. But this time, Peters was not in a cheerful mood. And he put forth such a proposal that the Eagles GM cut down the call immediately. But why?
When Roseman called up Peters, they talked about their first-round picks. When the Eagles GM revealed his plan to jump to the 29th pick, Peters told him that there would be an “in-division tax” without rejecting the offer. What was this about? Was Peters referring to more picks this year or any potential trade?

Not only that, Howie Roseman had a 6th sense before calling that things would not go his way. In fact, he can be heard saying in the video, 96 hours Inside the Eagles Draft Room | Unscripted Ep. 2, “Yeah, I don’t have a good feeling about Washington.” But this has stemmed from their impressive campaign this year.
The Commanders were on a winning path until the NFC Championship, when the Eagles crushed their rivals. It was a thrilling game. While Jayden Daniels rued the missed chance of being the first rookie QB to play in the Super Bowl, the Birds won the 2nd Super Bowl in their franchise history.

The Commanders and other NFC East rivals must have felt bad when Jalen Hurts and Howie Roseman roamed in the Super Bowl parade. Smoking a cigar with a mean look on their faces, they announced their arrival in style. But the signal caller has warned their divisional rivals.

“We understand that it’s hard to win championships in the NFL…for us, picking later in the draft and having fewer resources…we all have to do a better job…and find advantages to compete at the championship level. And that’s the goal – to get confetti on our heads,” the Eagles GM said during the recent episode of The Rich Eisen Show.
It’s clear now! They are coming for the second Super Bowl. Not only Howie Roseman, Jalen Hurts also wants to prove naysayers wrong. Ex-NFLer Chase Daniel took some hard shots at the quarterback by claiming he was not the franchise signal caller. His mother was so pissed that she even asked his credentials behind making such claims. Even the fans are angry.
