While Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels’ NFL destinations are almost fixed, the same cannot be said for JJ McCarthy and Drake Maye. The possibility of which team might acquire these skilled players is far and wide. On one hand, there is the Patriots at No.3, and on the other, there is a lot of commotion about the NY Giants and the Minnesota Vikings leapfrogging other teams to boast their roster with the addition of these talented football rookies.

Concerning the same, the known analyst Adam Schefter came forward at the Rich Eisen show. He unfolded the speculations that have been taking over the NFL world including the dominant perspective that Maye might get drafted by the New England Patriots who are desperately in need of a skilled QB after Mac Jones was traded. Another narrative is that QB-needy teams like the Vikings and Giants might go after McCarthy.

The insider Schefter revealed that the Patriots got calls from Vikings and Giants regarding a swap, but the New England team is choosing to stand on its ground instead. Per Schefter, the real trade will begin when the clock starts. He also revealed that the Giants and the Vikings are hiding behind a smoke screen so that other teams don’t know what they’re up to.

On Schefter’s list, Drake Maye is No.3, which is one of the most notable positions in the upcoming draft. Eisen and Schefter agreed that for Minnesota to get a player they wanted, they would have to make a lot of compromises. “Here’s the thing, Minnesota in my mind is more desperate to get up there. Minnesota has more ammunition to get up there, but the Giants are within striking range of getting up there.”

From that point on in the conversation, there were guessing games being played about how even JJ McCarthy could land on No. 3. Schefter also pointed out that there was still a possibility that the Patriots get what they needed if they swapped picks with either the Giants or Vikings. But Schefter pegging Drake Maye for No. 3 might be accurate because JJ McCarthy just admitted something astonishing to Rich Eisen.

“They’re a phenomenal staff. Love Coach Daboll, love Mr. Shane you know, love Coach Tierney, Coach Kafka, Chicago guy,” said McCarthy and added, “Just being able to go in there, pretty much know, like most of the install. It’s similar formations, motions, plays, all that stuff,” added the QB.

Judging by McCarthy’s words, it seems like if it comes to him joining the New York Giants, he would do it in a heartbeat. Where do you think McCarthy will end up? Let us know below.
