Zach Berman’s X account posted today about Howie’s opinion which says, “I think a big part of that is because we made a conscious decision after the season to try to get guys from team’s practice squads where we had some tape to watch. We felt like that was just for us kind of a unique opportunity that we wanted to try and take advantage of based on this class and knowing that this was a different class.”

Howie further stated that the undrafted market would return to normal next year and the team’s approach might change accordingly in the future. This showcases the Eagle’s adaptability and readiness to adjust their strategy based on the evolving dynamics of player acquisition.

As the 2024 season approaches, Eagles’ fans eagerly wait to see Roseman’s strategy in action and watch its impact on the team’s performance. However, players are confident about Roseman, which has been already reflected in Kelce’s endorsement.

Jason Kelce’s take on Roseman

Kelce stated, “Yeah, man. It’s Howie season. This is what Howie does better than I think, I mean, I’m biased, but anybody else at finalizing the situation of the cap, what players are, first of all, do in real life, but then also what is gonna be their cap hit.” Jason further said, “The Eagles are so good at moving that around and avoiding the salary cap from really ever being an issue”.

They secured wide receiver DeVonta Smith’s future with the team by picking up his fifth-year option and signing him to a three-year, $75 million extension. As Eagles is confident about Smith’s capability, this commitment ensures Smith’s presence on the team until the 2028 season.

Furthermore, the Eagles proactively extended contracts for several other key players, including left guard Landon Dickerson, left tackle Jordan Mailata, safety Reed Blankenship, and kicker Jake Elliott. These contract extensions offer advanced stability to the team’s lineup and showcase the Eagles’ commitment to creating a strong team.
