Patrick Mahomes or Tua Tagovailoa? It might be hard for Tyreek Hill to rank these quarterbacks one above the other. However, he did it this time!

Watch What’s Trending Now!

Last month, Hill traveled around the country to train young kids in football for his Soul Runner Speed Academy camp. And during a visit to Rochester, New York for the same purpose, he had to tackle the question of choosing between the two quarterbacks. Now, generally, the Miami Dolphins’ Cheetah doesn’t seem to fumble on the gridiron, but that time he failed to choose (given the circumstance that Mahomes is his former quarterback and arguably the current top in the league, and Tagovailoa is his current QB and a close friend). But this time, he didn’t step away from the answering limelight!

Tyreek Hill chose Patrick Mahomes as number 1

The last time when Tyreek Hill was asked, according to News 8 WROC AJ Feldman, he chose to say, “He said there were a lot of cameras around, so he just answered that he likes them both and pleaded the fifth.” But till what time could he avoid the pressure? Eventually, he had to share his answer. During a recent public Q&A round on his official Instagram account, the Cheetah came live and responded to the question of ranking “the top 5 QBs in the league” on the spot. He paused for a bit and started with Patrick Mahomes at number 1, and then immediately lined Tua Tagovailoa on the number 2 spot.

Ranking out the names of other top three quarterbacks, Hill paused and answered, “Lamar [Jackson], Dak [Prescott], and Baker Mayfield.” Well, he didn’t explain the reason for his ranking, but fans arguably think that given Mahomes’ recent Super Bowl win as well as his ESPY win for the 2023 season’s Best NFL Player, Hill might have named him on top.

However, this answer appeared somewhat strange to Tagovailoa’s fans, as earlier Hill praised his current QB as the most accurate quarterback in the league.

Tyreek Hill has full faith in Tua Tagovailoa!

Ahead of the 2023 season in June, Tyreek Hill was on the verge of achieving his 2,000 yards aim. Although by the end of the season, he wasn’t able to, Hill’s faith in his quarterback was still present. During a presser, before the 2023 season began, the wide receiver said that he had full confidence in him achieving his goal for yards.

His confidence in achieving his goal stemmed from the strong support system around him. He praised Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami squad, saying, “I got the right tools around me. I got obviously the most accurate quarterback in the NFL, I got one of the best head coaches in the NFL, and my position coach is also a monster.

However, fast forward to the present, it seems Hill has changed his stance, and named Patrick Mahomes as number 1. But who knows, the wide receiver might again change his thoughts if Tua performs better in 2024.
