CJ Stroud has been in the headlines lately, for a lot of reasons. Recently, we saw his emotional side when he confessed that he wanted his father to come to one of his games. But that came after the Texans defeated the Buccaneers by the skin of their teeth. His 470-yard game spoke volumes, so much so that for many, he is not a rookie anymore. Many believe that he has ascended to the upper echelon of NFL athletes.

The Texans did it again with Stroud at the frontline, taking on Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Though he had the best game of his career against the Bucs, the game against the Cincinnati Bengals was not short of applause either, because he almost succeeded in replicating the Bucs game. The bout against Joe Burrow and the squad has put him in the spotlight and he is considered as an MVP candidate in the eyes of many.

Adam Schefter recently posted on X. His opinion seems to be quite popular in the NFL community because his tweet is sitting at 1.9 million views. The tweet is very simple but paints a perfect picture in the fan’s mind. His tweet says, “CJ Stroud has entered the MVP conversation.” Bur, this is not all. The football world echoes with MVP eligibility. Why? Because he defeated 2 Super Bowl contenders back-to-back and came out with 826 yards and 6 touchdowns to his name. That’s massive!

The fact of the matter is, that Stroud has led his team to be the 2 in AFC South. Many argue that the last two games against the Bucs and the Bengals are enough to land him in the MVP conversation. Stroud has made quite a statement for himself and has elevated Texans to a new level. In the game against the Bengals, he came out with one touchdown and passed over 356 yards. It’s his ability to come in clutch and perform when needed is also the reason why he should be considered an MVP candidate.

Another reason why CJ Stroud should be considered for MVP is because he took the Texans to a winning record in 9 games. Because the Texans are one of the 3 wild card teams in the AFC, his making him to the playoffs would be a huge deal. If the team makes it to playoffs and Stroud becomes the MVP, he will be placed beside Jim Brown as the NFL rookie who has won the MVP since 1957. All these coincidences have got the internet hyped up.
