In an exclusive chat with Life & Style Weekly, the sports journalist and former Chiefs’ WAG dropped some sage advice after being under the microscope since her high-profile split from Kansas City TE. Her golden nugget? “One major tip would be, keep it off the internet. You know, what people don’t know about, they can’t pick apart.” The 33-year-old woman’s all about keeping things under wraps, noting, “Privacy is like, the policy for me right now. And I think it really should be for everyone.” Boom! That’s like a mic drop, if we’ve ever heard one. 

The on-air hostess and promotional model’s emphasis on privacy comes in the wake of her public reflections over the past year. Last December, she shared a cryptic poem about ‘karma’ and personal growth on her IG handle. The poem, by Ash Taylor, spoke volumes: “No matter how hard it gets, you can still get back up. Your intuition is never wrong. The people who genuinely care for you will show up for you.” It’s obvious Nicole’s been living by these lessons.

And oh, the drama around her split with Kelce! After their rollercoaster five-year relationship wrapped up in May 2022, she didn’t hold back online, letting her thoughts fly. Back in Oct., she made waves with an open letter titled “Black Girl,” addressing the fallout from Kelce’s new relationship with Taylor Swift. She wrote, “They may call you a traitor for falling in love. You’ll hope the ones closest will protect you, but quickly realize people don’t protect what they don’t value.” 

So, while the Chiefs are busy gearing up for another Super Bowl run, it seems like their former leading lady’s focused on building a fortress around her heart. Nicole’s message about ‘privacy’ really hit home, especially when she’s constantly facing bitter criticism from Swifties.

Uh oh, looks like a social media fumble for Kayla Nicole! Travis Kelce’s ex found herself in the crosshairs of the notoriously passionate Swifties after a seemingly harmless tweet.

“There’s just no way I can fully digest all these new albums. I’m still on Cowboy Carter. overstimulated.com,” Kayla posted, referencing a different artist entirely. But some fans took it as a not-so-subtle jab at Swift’s new release.*

Nicole, however, ain’t taking the online vitriol lying down. She clapped back on Twitter, “I’m unproblematic. Mind my business. Never respond to the constant vitriol. But just know everyone has a breaking point and would love for y’all to leave me alone.” Dang it! 

Thankfully, not all Swifties are on the attack. Several fans came to Nicole’s defense, pointing out the abundance of new music dropping and that her tweet wasn’t at all directed at Swift. Here’s hoping things cool down on social media for Kelce’s ex—the last thing we need is a full-blown internet brawl!
