Kirk Cousins: The comeback is real

Many sources have posted Kirk Cousins serving Thanksgiving dinners with other Viking teammates and his son at the Salvation Army. The good thing is that since his surgery, he is not wearing the cast anymore, just a boot and some crutches to support him. A torn Achilles is no joke, and Cousins making a quick recovery is a hope for the Vikings. He posted a story on Instagram recently that showed his cast getting removed.

From the looks of it, it was a change of scenery for Cousins because he was forced to rest following his injury. This was his first public appearance after he tore his Achilles. According to Star Tribune, Cousins was seen around the Vikings facility while simultaneously being in rehab.

He is coaching Joshua Dobbs, his replacement for the season. Dobbs has recently joined the Vikings following a trade.

“We’d committed to it before the injury [on October 29], and I realized we can still get there,” Cousins said. “It’s fun to bring my son Cooper. We’ve learned that it is truly more happy-making to give than to receive. We came last year, and it was a great event. It was fun to be here with teammates and spouses. It’s a little change of scenery, change of pace.”

What now for the Vikings warrior?

Cousins will be a free agent when this season ends. He may explore other opportunities, but the HC Kevin O’Connell says that the Vikings will always keep the doors of Valhalla open for the fallen one. Kudos to his quick recovery, but he is still walking on crutches and must support his foot while standing or walking. The chances of him making a return this season are bleak.

Kirk Cousins visits the Vikings facility and sits around, coaches Joshua Dobbs, and indulges in chit-chat with his teammates, even though he is in rehab and should be resting. These efforts have earned him even more respect from his teammates, who think Cousins should be resting and have no business coming to the facility. Yet he still does!
