Patrick Mahomes Sr. finally ends his virtual exile! The Former MLB Star’s last social media post caught widespread attention thanks to his son Patrick Mahomes Jr’s reaction or the lack of it. On June 16, Mahomes Sr. took to his Instagram account to post a heartwarming Father’s Day wish to his NFL star son. However, the Kansas City Chiefs’ QB did not reply to his father publicly despite returning the favor to his wife Brittany Mahomes’ post. Since then, the 53-year-old has maintained radio silence – until now!
On July 5, Patrick Mahomes Sr posted a beautiful montage of his elder daughter Avery Parker Mahomes on Instagram. The former baseball pitcher’s caption read, “Happy 14th Avery. I love you.” For those who are wondering, Avery is Patrick Mahomes’ step-sister. While not much is known about the 14-year-old, she is often in the stands during the Chiefs’ games to support her brother.

The former baseball player’s social media post also comes at a very interesting point! In late June 2024, Mahomes Sr. had to appear before a Texas court for his February 2024 DUI arrest. The next hearing of the case will occur on July 22, 2024. During the previous hearing in June, an independent blood test showed that Mahomes Sr’s BAC was 0.23 (much higher than Texas’ legal limit of 0.08).

Papa Mahomes now has a plea deal in front of him and if chooses to accept it, he may end up with a 10-year probation. However, the ultimate duration may be slightly less as it is a subject of negotiation with the district attorney. With the hearing coming up, many fans speculate why the three-time Super Bowl MVP is silent on his father’s troubles. It looks like the words have reached the NFL star and he has the perfect answer to it!

Patrick Mahomes has mastered the art of avoiding bad questions
Patrick Mahomes is an absolute media darling and his on-field success always keeps him in the public eye. Being a public figure, the 28-year-old always has to face a ton of questions, and sometimes the queries are hard to answer. In February 2024, right before the Super Bowl 58 match against the San Francisco 49ers, Mahomes faced questions about his father’s third DUI arrest. However, the Chiefs star did not answer the press and called it a ‘family matter.’

On his latest appearance on the Riggle’s Picks podcast, the Texas native finally answered how he handles unwanted questions. Mahomes added, “What I’ve mastered is being able to say a lot of words without saying anything at all.” Apparently, the ideal way to skip the questions is just to “keep repeating.” With a historic threepeat season on the way, Mahomes isn’t showing any signs of slowing down even after winning three Super Bowl MVPs. Hence the art of saying everything without saying anything will serve him quite well!
