But did it happen? Obviously not, since the head coach trusted in his player, and we all know what occurred on Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs were brutal against the Chargers, winning 17-10. Following the intense game, HC Andy Ried talked about the Kelce situation in the post-game conference. The head coach stated that he has respect for Travis Kelce and is unconcerned about others’ opinions.

Andy Reid on Travis Kelce finally having a big game:
“I really don’t care what anybody thinks, to be honest with you. I watch what the defense does and how they respect him. I take it off of that, and I watch Trav every day. I get to see him and how he works…”

These were some bold statements from someone like Ried because no one expected him to be so straightforward. On the other hand, Travis Kelce proved himself in the game against the Chargers. He gave his best performance of this season and showed everyone that he still has it in him. On Sunday he caught seven passes for 89 yards which was great. Although he failed to reach the end zone. Aside from the above statements, Andy Reid also praised Kelce for this performance.
The HC claimed Travis Kelce as the key player on Sunday
The Kansas City Chiefs want to make history by winning the Super Bowl for the third time in a row. That’s why the team is so serious and Reid doesn’t want to take any risks. Maybe that’s why Travis Kelce was even benched in week 3, but no reports claim these things. Now the only thing that is known is that the TE is on fire.Andy Reid himself noticed this and stated, “They played quite a little bit of zone and Kelce did a nice job of getting in windows. And when they did play man he was able to do a nice job there. There weren’t as many double teams as he’s seen so he did very good.”Maybe after this game, it is clear that Kelce has made his way back into the team and cemented himself. His timing with
Patrick Mahomes which was off for the first three games looked perfect in the fourth one. If these things continue, anyone can bet that the players of Kansas City will get a hattrick victory in the Super Bowl.ADVERTISEMENT
