Cowherd has cast doubt on these rumors, firmly stating his belief that Reid is not gearing up to retire. Not just him, Patrick Mahomes also did the same thing. He did not just say it; he had gathered each and everything to support his statements.

Colin Cowherd celebrates Reid’s coaching legacy

On his show “Herd w/Colin Cowherd,” Cowherd robustly refuted the speculation regarding Andy Reid’s retirement from the NFL. He slowly and steadily painted Reid as a coaching legend, whose tenure in the league is marked by success. “You’re looking at the best coach arguably in the history of the sport,” Cowherd proclaimed. He added, “I don’t buy that he’s retiring.”

Reid’s exceptional achievements supported his statements. Then he detailed Reid’s quick acquisition by one of the league’s sharpest ownerships. He said, “Andy Reid, by the way, was on the job market for five days and one of the smartest ownership groups snapped him up. If not, the Chiefs, there was a line to get Andy Reid.” Cowherd also praised Reid’s adaptability and influence. He noted that his triumphs are not just with a single player, but with multiple quarterbacks.

He said, “His career is not tied to an individual player.” In the end, Cowherd concluded by saying, “I think you’re looking at the best coach arguably in the history of the sport who I think will win another one Sunday and more to come.” Not to mention, even Chiefs’ QB, Patrick Mahomes, chimed in with his perspective.

Patrick Mahomes dismissed rumors of Reid’s retirement 

As the Super Bowl is almost around the corner as the Chiefs will be facing the San Francisco 49ers, but fans are worrying about something different. The Chiefs’ community has been buzzing with speculation about Andy Reid’s potential retirement after the Super Bowl. Of course it has stirred unease among Chiefs’ fans. However, Patrick Mahomes recently calmed the fans down.

In a conversation with James Palmer of the NFL Network, Mahomes conveyed his skepticism about the rumors. He said, “I’m highly doubtful,” regarding Reid’s departure from the coaching role. Fans are definitely less concerned about Reid now as the statements are coming from the quarterback itself.
