The NFL will be accumulating gold at the 2028 Olympics. The international committee announced last week that the NFL will be one of the sports added to summer games in LA. Following the same, the Colorado Buffaloes CB/WR Travis Hunter shared his desire to form his own team.

The player shared his view on forming his own team for the NFL debut in the Olympics 2028. He plans on having the City Chiefs‘ Patrick Mahomes as the team quarterback. What’s more, Hunter is all set with the entire players list for the Summer games held in Los Angeles.

Travis Hunter desires to have Mahomes as QB for his own team

Travis Hunter joined Colorado last year as a wide receiver and cornerback. The player has had an impressive track record of having 11 receptions and 149 yards. Well, Hunter seems literally excited about the latest news. And he plans to assemble a top-notch flag football team for the 2028 Olympics. The WR decided to build his own Olympics team, and the NFL reporter Dov Kleiman shared the same on X (formerly Twitter).

Hunter wishes to have Patrick Mahomes as his team’s QB and lead the team. As we all know, City Chiefs QB Patrick has been tremendous this season. He is maintaining his dominance within the Super Bowl 2023. The man is almost undefeated by his counterparts. What’s more Patrick broke the NFL record with his 200th touchdown in his 84th NFL game. So why would anyone wish not to have him on their team?

Additionally, Hunter provided a complete list of players for the supposed team. Initially selecting Travis Kelce as his top choice for Tight End. However, he changed his selection to Kyle Pitts from the Atlanta Falcons, citing Kelce’s age of 34. His choice for running back is Bijan Robinson, Wide receiver Tyreek Hill from Miami, and himself.

Travis Hunter is seemingly all set to play for the NFL. However, he has had a great record from his university college football as well. The man has a career record of offensive numbers. Including 272 receptions for 3,963 yards and 48 touchdowns, 29 rushes for 158 yards and two touchdowns, 4-of-8 passing for 118 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Currently, Hunter is out of the game until bye week due to a recent injury that happened. He suffered a lacerated liver due to a late hit in the Buffaloes’ game against Colorado State. The WR was taken to hospital after absorbing an illegal hit. However, HC Deion Sanders said Hunter could be sidelined until after the bye week, when Colorado travels to UCLA on Oct 28.
