Ashton Jeanty is making headlines this week. Not for a breakout play, but for a jaw-dropping purchase that has fans and analysts buzzing. You’d be shocked to hear what the 21-year-old running back dropped six figures on. During his appearance on the Up and Adams podcast this Wednesday, the newly added Raiders player opened up about both personal and professional matters, showing a candid, playful side.

When host Kay Adams brought up his recent big buy, Jeanty couldn’t contain his laughter before diving into the details. With a mix of excitement and confidence, he revealed not only what he bought but also the story behind it, offering a glimpse into his mindset as he steps into the NFL spotlight, full of ambition, swagger, and a bit of rookie flair.

Jeanty was on Kay Adams’ show with his jersey on, as you know, the OTAs are going on. When Adams asked Jeanty about his number #2 jersey, he just laughed like a college boy. His laugh was fair, as the 21-YO had to buy his jersey number. He said, “Hey y’all, I didn’t get this for free, man. I had to drop I had to drop a little bag.” And then indirectly told the national reporter how much he dropped for that jersey number.

When Adams asked how much you had to pay for that number-two jersey, Jeanty first refused to tell. But later, he said, “So you could probably buy a house. Like a nice-sized house.” Then also added, “Actually, no. I’m not going to say a house. Not in Vegas. I’m going to say a car. Like a nice Mercedes. You can buya  Mercedes GLE.” And if you are aware of the Mercedes GLE prices go from $61,000 to $130,000. The six-figure price.

The emerging star running back had worn this jersey when he played for Boise State. It became his lucky number. Other than this reason, he also added, “I’ve worn it like the majority of my career. It’s the day greatness was born. It’s the day I was born. December 2nd. It’s a family number. All my family members who play sports wear number two as well. So, means a lot.” Alright. He got the favorite number. But that’s only the starting line of the race. The real competition will start from now. And for that, the Raiders RB is urged to ditch his stance.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Ashton Jeanty's six-figure jersey number purchase a sign of confidence or misplaced priorities?

Chip Kelly urged Ashton Jeanty to embrace a new stance

Chip Kelly, the new offensive coordinator of the Raiders, has reportedly convinced Ashton Jeanty to change his stance in the backfield. Currently, the OC thinks that Ashton has a Michael Myers-like stance, who was a star character in a horror movie. Chip Kelly actually gave Jeanty an example of basketball and convinced him to change it. The 21-YO RB described the incident in an interview with Kay Adams.

Ashton started, “What’s crazy is, Chip Kelly comes to me first day of rookie minicamp, and he’s like ‘You ever play basketball?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, I play basketball, you know I can dunk and all that.’ He’s like, ‘OK, show me how you would guard me,’ and he’s acting like he’s holding the ball.” He also added, “He won for now. I’m going to try and persuade him one day. I have to earn my stripes and make some plays first, but I don’t think it’s going to be the end [of the stance].” While other running backs keep their hands on their knees in the backfield before a snap, Jeanty has a unique stance. He takes a stance like Michael Myers. And that’s what the offensive coordinator wants to change.
