Tyreek Hill gained the moniker ‘Cheetah’ because of his agility, speed, extremely athletic body, and strength. His lifestyle choices have played a prominent role in making him the super athlete he is today. One of the most lethal offensive weapons in the NFL, the Miami Dolphins’ WR has an insane diet that fuels his insane daily output. He also enjoys eating his grandmother’s special dish, which has helped him to be fast on the field.

But again, the calorie-heavy diet has also become a point of contention among many. Well, one doesn’t become one of the fastest players in the league’s history just like that! Tyreek Hill is making the full use of his offseason with a new regime. In a recent appearance on the Luther Glover Workouts, Hill revealed how the Cincinnati Bengals’ legend’s mantra works well for him.

Veteran WR Chad Johnson is the man behind Tyreek Hill’s calorie-heavy diet. The 40-year-old dominated the defenses, weaved through them with agility, and gained a reputation for his insane physique. And arguably, he managed to do all that on a regular diet of McDonald’s hamburgers. Johnson’s legendary diet is folklore in the NFL. Now the Super Bowl winner Hill has found solace in the same vein!

Hill is usually a perfection of human fitness on and off the field. However, in this offseason, the 8X Pro Bowler has let himself a bit loose. “Johnson said the best bro, like if you work hard like you shouldn’t have to worry about what you eat”, said Hill on the podcast ‘Luther Glover Workouts’.

Cheetah isn’t worried about the excessive calories he’s been consuming, since he is working hard during the offseason break as well. “I feel like I work hard enough to put whatever I want to in my body. Because I’m just going to go play basketball or run routes or do whatever it takes to burn those calories off anyway,” said Hill.

Hill reportedly consumes a monstrous 3,000-4,000 calories per day with breakfast, something that has remained a point of contention among many fitness freaks. Hill’s breakfast alone includes four eggs, four slices of bacon, grits, and juice. This may also include quesadilla and nachos for lunch and a fruit pie with chips, cheese on the side, jalapenos, and tomatoes for dinner. Then he eats veggies, whole grains, fat, and proteins throughout the day.

Besides his intense workouts, Hill is also a big advocate for yoga, which he does at least twice a week. This helps him with recovery. Considering the amount of calories he takes, one would imagine that ‘Cheetah’ wouldn’t need a cheat day. But that’s not the case.

Tyreek Hill enjoys his Grandma’s secret recipe and Popeyes for cheat meal

In a 2022 interview with GQ Sports, Hill shared his love for the fast-food chain Popeyes. “None other than Popeyes,” he said with excitement. Interestingly, he declared that this is one of his “grandmother’s secret recipes” for him being so fast. “Typically what I usually get is a five-piece chicken, chicken nugget, spicy, black and ranch hot sauce, and honey,” he revealed.

Besides this, Hill also likes a side of Doritos. Even though he mentioned that he isn’t hyping anyone to eat bad food. Hill gave a disclaimer, “I am not trying to hype any of you guys to eat bad food. But if you were to choose bad foods, this is right here.” Well, this calorie-heavy concept may not work for everyone, but what Hill is doing is certainly working for him.
