Bill Belichick has finally revived the New England Patriots against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers hosted the Patriots at the Acrisure Stadium. Despite having the home advantage, the Steelers fell short of clinching victory by three points. However, the Patriots were on the verge of matching their worst record of the 1992 season, but with this victory, they safeguarded themselves. 

The Patriots head coach, and the eight-time Super Bowl champion, led the Patriots to their third victory of the season. And finally, the Patriots’ camp took a sigh of relief.

The Patriots started the game with quarterback Bailey Zappe’s 11-yard touchdown pass to tight end Ezekiel Elliott. Moreover, quarterback Bailey Zappe threw for three touchdown passes, which helped the Patriots end their losing streak of five games.

After a stamping start in the first half, the offense went dull in the second half, which presented room for the Steelers to minimize the lead to three points. But in the end, the Patriots managed to restrict the Steelers and clinch a victory with a scoreline of 21-18.

The Patriots, in 14 games, witnessed their third victory of the season. Once a dominating force in the league, they are now struggling to end on a victorious side.

The Patriots at the bottom of the table

QB Bailey Zappe scored 240 yards and an interception against the Steelers. In the following game, Elliott was his preferred target, who was targeted eight times in the game. However, seven passes landed in Elliott’s hands. This promising gameplay from the Patriots’ offense was missing throughout the season. After QB Mac Jones, Zappe came in as the team’s starting quarterback and delivered promising results to the team.

But with just four games left in the regular season, the Patriots became late in reviving their gameplay. Currently at the bottom of the AFC East division, the Patriots’ playoff aspirations are diminished. And they can just try to win the remaining games and be prepared for the 2024 NFL season.
