Week 5 finally brought all 32 teams onto the same page. No team is undefeated in the league now. 70,802 Bills Mafia members cheered for their team in the hope of registering their 5th consecutive win. Against a Patriots lineup with a 2-2 win-loss record, they were supposed to be an easy run. But it came down to the last 15 seconds.

Kicker Andrés Borregales stood 53 yards from the Bills’ uprights. Both teams were equal at 20 each score. But he scored the field goal, and the Pats did the unthinkable. Fans couldn’t believe it and were angry. It was mind-boggling. Even the coach was angry, and with a look of feeling lost, he came to the post-game conference. “Thought we beat ourselves,” his 4-words were enough to tell his mindset.

The Bills made some costly mistakes in the first half. They committed 8 penalties, the second most since the week 12 game against the Eagles in 2023 (10 penalties). NFL official Shawn Hochuli was also on the Bills Mafia target for calling their plays out. But McDermott also accepted the penalties.

Moreover, the Patriots’ defense came out with full power. Both Josh Allen and WR Keon Coleman fumbled the ball once in the first half. CB Marcus Jones also intercepted the ball in the 3rd quarter. After a low-scoring first half (3-6 in favor of the Patriots), the game picked up tempo in the 2nd half.

However, the visitors extended the lead by 10 points to 20-10 before Allen led the comeback with 2 minutes remaining. Starting at the  1:25 mark in the 4th quarter, the Bills used all 3 timeouts, but they couldn’t stop the Pats from advancing. In the end, they lost.

For those watching the game, it was heartbreaking. And now, they want only one thing.

Bills Mafia target Sean McDermott over the week 5 loss

They immediately requested the Bills’ management as one fan tweeted out with rage, “F— you Sean McDermott. I hope you get fired after this week. The #BillsMafia will never see a Super Bowl Champ under your leadership.” It was a common sentiment.

Another member of the Bills madia got so angry that he smashed his TV after watching the Bills defeat. “I’m done being a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan. Sean McDermott is an alcoholic who could barely stand up on the sideline all night. I smashed by 37 inch LG in front of my family and friends. McDermott needs to go TONIGHT!!!!,” he wrote on X while posting a photo of his broken TV screen.

There was no hold-barred attack on McDermott after losing the game. The Bills were going strong, and it’s more like an upset victory than giving up in the game. “@BuffaloBills SERIOUS GUYS, FIRE SEAN MCDERMOTT!!! You keep giving us the same bs every year and we’re TIRED OF IT! Wasting talent and time just cause you dont want change! PEGULA, BEANE, SOMEONE! GET A NEW HEAD COACH!” This long message was enough to tell the Bills’ management about the feelings among the fans.

Sean McDermott is a f—ing terrorist and should never have a head coaching job in this lifetime,” these are the last words anyone would have hoped. The anger was understandable, as almost no one thought that the Pats could defeat the Bills. However, McDermott has led the team to a good start this year as well. Even after losing a game, they are 1st in the AFC East. Overall, they are among the 6 teams with the same record.

Most fans were pissed about the last play that ended with the Pats’ game-winning field goal. One fan pointed out, “

The way that the game finish today. Was just ridiculous. The guys didn’t even try it ! This is culture! Sean McDermott is a Loser! He will never win a Championship! And today last play was a clear message!” The Pats also took their time in the final play as they took a timeout after the Bills 3 timeouts.

All in all, the Bills have to bounce back. That’s the only way forward.
