The Buffalo Bills are riding high after back-to-back wins before their divisional clash against the Miami Dolphins this Sunday. Both teams are dealing with banged-up rosters. But Mr. January might face problems with his offense.

WR Josh Palmer is questionable with knee and ankle problems. He was limited in practice the last two days. He has 14 receptions for 234 yards this year in 6 games, averaging 16.7 yards per catch, and adds deep-threat potential to the Bills’ passing attack. Josh Allen will miss Palmer’s service. While he is the only offensive player injured in Orchard Park, you can not say the same about the Bills’ defense.

The Bills’ linebacker Shaq Thompson is also out due to a hamstring injury. He missed every practice this week. He has posted 28 tackles (19 solo) and 1 sack this season, bringing veteran leadership and physicality to the linebacker group.

Cornerback Christian Benford is questionable with a groin injury. He was limited on Wednesday (November 5) and Friday but missed Thursday’s session. He has produced 32 total tackles (24 solo) and 1 sack in 8 games, showing good consistency in coverage.

DT DaQuan Jones is questionable because of a calf injury. After missing early practices, he returned in a limited role late in the week. In 5 games, Jones has 8 tackles (4 solo) and 2 sacks, providing strength on the interior line.

As for the Phins, nothing is going well with Mike McDaniel’s team.

Can Miami defeat Josh Allen with injuries piling up?

LB Chop Robinson is out due to a concussion. He didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday and was only a limited participant on Friday. Robinson has played 6 games, totaling 8 tackles (6 solo) and 1 defended pass. Miami will miss his speed off the edge in rotational packages.

CB Rasul Douglas is doubtful with a foot and ankle issue after missing all three practices this week. He has been a steady presence in the secondary, posting 36 tackles (25 solo), 1 sack, and 5 passes defended through 9 games. If he can’t go, Miami may have to rely on backup corners against a strong passing attack.

Safety Ashtyn Davis is questionable with a quadriceps injury. He practiced in a limited role all week. Moreover, Ifeatu Melifonwu is questionable with thumb and foot injuries. After sitting out Wednesday, he returned in a limited role on Thursday and Friday. He has 23 tackles (15 solo) in 8 games this year and provides valuable depth in Miami’s secondary.

These injuries present a significant challenge for head coach Mike McDaniel. And unlike Josh Allen & co., they are also dealing with multiple injuries to the offense.

RB Ollie Gordon is questionable with an ankle issue. The rookie running back practiced in a limited role throughout the week. He has carried 40 times for 122 yards and 1 touchdown and has added 6 catches for 30 yards and 1 receiving TD. But his health could influence Miami’s short-yardage game.

TE Julian Hill is questionable due to an ankle injury. He has appeared in 7 games, catching 10 receptions for 77 yards. He also contributes as a blocker in both run and pass sets.

WR Dee Eskridge is out with a shoulder injury after missing practice all week. He has given the Dolphins field position boosts, and his absence will slightly affect the special teams depth.

Overall, the game looks slightly favorable to the Bills as they have won 6 games this year, while the Phins have only won 2.
