Amid all the drama for the 2025 NFL Draft, the top-placed Titans are in the best possible place. They need a quarterback and Miami QB Cam Ward is the best of the quarterback class this year. The HC Brian Callahan and the GM Mike Borgonzi have a clear draft plan in their minds. They don’t want to create unnecessary confusion and have clearly stated that they want to go ahead with the signal caller position. Ahead of Draft day, the franchise has also unveiled a welcome gift for the incoming QB.

Last year, Lockett restructured his contract with the Hawks. He had famously said, “Seattle is home.” But the scenarios changed this year. The team wanted to rope in new talent and decided to make space by saying goodbye to the veteran. Brian Callahan snatched him, giving a great offensive weapon for Cam Ward.
Over 10 NFL seasons, the receiver has played 161 games (134 starters) and recorded 661 receptions in 8,594 receiving yards and 61 touchdowns. So, he carries the required experience. But the Titans also have their concerns about the 32-year-old. That’s the reason they signed him for only one year.
While they have sorted out the O-line concerns, the college signal caller looks excited to enter the league. It’s a surreal feeling being the overall first drafted player.

Cam Ward praises Titans
Amid this development, Cam Ward is giving all the positive signals you expect from a franchise quarterback. His calm and composed demeanor speaks volumes. He has already praised the franchise on multiple occasions. And just 24 hours before the draft, he again had good words for the team.

While talking about the franchise, he said, “I’m excited to hopefully hear my name called first and go to a good organization like that. They have a great owner, great GM, great assistant GM, great president. The team there, they have a pretty elite team. In my opinion, they don’t get enough credit, on paper, for what they really are. If I’m there, I know it will turn out good.”
It’s not just about the franchise, Cam Ward also impressed Steve Van Meter, a QB coach in the Houston area. Whenever the coach told him to change anything, the quarterback did that on the very next rep. 6 years ago, he started having questions on his mind about whether other coaches also viewed his talent similarly. Now, the time has come for the whole world to see the athlete destroy rivals. Tennessee fans are excited for Ward, while football fans across the board get ready to welcome their new heroes.
