The new New York Giants have made an impressive comeback after starting the season with a 0-3 record. Having won 2 games out of their previous 3, they are catching steam at the right time. The Giants have averaged 23 points in the last three games, with Jaxson Dart’s dual-threat ability breathing new life into their misfiring offense. He has a completion percentage of 66 for 508 yards with two interceptions and four touchdowns. Now, with a matchup against the Broncos coming up next, HC Brian Daboll has set clear expectations for his players.

“The biggest thing is going out there and playing well on Sunday,” Daboll said.  “And doing the things you need to do during the week to be ready to play a game against a challenging, like I have talked about on Wednesday, good football team.”

The Broncos and the Giants have faced off 13 times in the regular season, with the latter having a 7-6 edge over New York. But New York comes into this fixture riding high on confidence, having torched the Eagles 34-17 in their last match.

But the Broncos will be up for the challenge, as they are harnessing their defensive power to the best possible effect. The Broncos’ defense currently ranks second in the league in both yards allowed and points. They are also at the top of the league ranking in third-down defense, red zone defense, and fourth-down defense.

Even Brian Daboll has appreciated the Broncos’ defensive unit’s effort. “They’re impressive every game,” Daboll said. “They play good coverage, complemented by the front. They disguise well. They’re as good as it gets right now.”

There will also be an extra spice to the game, especially after the trash talk and mocking between the players.

The trash talk between the Broncos and the Giants players has flared up

Broncos linebacker Nik Bonitto set social media ablaze with his not-so-cryptic X post about a Giants fan. Although Bonitto later deleted the post, everything that arrives on the digital platform leaves an impression before it vanishes. Bonitto wrote, “I’ve never seen such delusional fanbase,” on X. Although he didn’t mention the Giants’ fan, it was clear who he was referring to.

Broncos outside linebacker Jonathan Cooper also joined the trash talk and took a dig at the Jaxon Dart. “He’s a young guy. He’s feelin’ himself a little bit. He’s out there running around. He’s got the chain on. He’s dancing. I feel like everybody needs something, you know.” Cooper said about Dart. To this, Giant’s linebacker Abdul Carter replied, “We are going to settle everything on Sunday.”

The stage is all set for the big clash between the two reigning Super Bowl champion slayers. And the trash-talk has just added flair to the already electrifying game. Although HC Daboll is only interested in the performance, the players are ready to carry the social media heat to the gridiron.
