It’s time for a double celebration! The Kansas City Chiefs captivated the fans once again with the greatest announcement of an extension deal with none other than their TE, Travis Kelce. The Chiefs’ unparalleled success and constant accomplishments propelled Travis, 34, to re-sign the record-breaking deal with the Chiefs again. The four-time Super Bowl-winning team, the Chiefs, extended Travis Kelce’s contract with a new two-year, $34 million deal, making him the highest-paid TE in the NFL.

The Chiefs’ most expensive deal with Travis solidified his status as the league’s most formidable offensive weapon. As the Chiefs announced the latest extension deal with Travis, it created a buzz in the Chiefs Kingdom and NFL arena in no time. Taking to its official Instagram account, the Chiefs shared glimpses of the moment, featuring Travis’ signing the deal. “All right now! @killatrav has signed his new deal ✍️,” the Chiefs gushed over in the caption, tagging Travis in the post.

Soon after the Chiefs post surfaced on social media, within no time, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, also expressed her adoration for Travis Kelce’s new deal. Taking to the comment box, the co-owner of the Kansas City, wrote “LETS GOOOOO” with the clapping emojis.

In a Twitter post, TE pal and NFL QB Patrick Mahomes also took to congratulate Kelce for staying with the team, having a playoff record of 24-21. Mahomes exhibited his exhilaration by resharing the post of the national insider for NFL Network, congratulating him. “I told yall I’ll never let him leave!! Congrats my guy! @tkelce,” he remarked on his buddy’s biggest achievement.

The original Ian Rapoport @RapSheet’s post caption reads, “No more Champagne Problems: The #Chiefs and All-Pro and Pro Bowl TE Travis Kelce have agreed to terms on a new 2-year contract extension to make him the NFL’s highest-paid tight end, sources say.  The deal was done by his long-time agent Mike Simon, now with @milkhoneysport.”

According to the recent report, Mike Simon, Kelce’s longtime agent, arranged the deal. NFL journalist Tom Pelissero reported,  “Kelce now has guaranteed money in 2024, with additional money vesting year-by-year. He’s signed through 2027, when he’ll be 38.”

Travis Kelce’s Record-Breaking Contract

Travis earlier occupied fourth rank, having a $14.3 million annual contract. With his latest agreement, he has overtaken Darren Waller from the Giants, with a $17 million annual contract. Pro Bowl TE Travis Kelce showcased his elation while announcing his latest extension with the ‘Chiefs, asserting, “Feels great to be in KC. I remember coming here 12 years ago, man. It’s an honor and a pleasure, and I can’t wait to get after it these next two years. Getting fired up for this year. We’re back at it, baby. Chiefs forever!” he remarked.

Travis first signed a five-year deal with the NFL’s most distinguished team, the Chiefs, in 2016, worth $46 million. And then he received an extension of his contract with the Chiefs in 2020 when he signed a 4-year, $57.25  million contract with the team. And now, once again, he has decided to stay with the chief for the next two years.
