The Super Bowl was exhilarating for some and disappointing for others. The latter might be true in the case of Brock Purdy, who became one of the youngest QBs to lead his team to a Super Bowl. But for now, it looks like he’s left the past behind and is enjoying what he has on hand in the present. And undoubtedly, what better way to pass the time than watching March Madness, that too live!

Purdy went to see the Iowa State Cyclones go against the Stanford Cardinal. The 49ers QB is supporting the Cyclones as he hails from the same college. The 49ers on NBCS released a video of Purdy cheering for his favorite team and he had a special message for them.

Purdy took a front-camera video of himself cheering for the Cyclones. The post from NBCS is captioned, “Brock cheering on the Cyclones in the @MarchMadnessWBB tourney.” In the video, Purdy says, “Here supporting our women’s basketball team. Let’s get it! Loyal forever. Go Cyclones.” He delivers the message as Lil Nas X’s Industry Baby plays in the background.

Coming off a hot streak, Iowa State’s Audi Crooks managed to score a career-high 40 points in the close win against the Maryland team. Now the 7-seed Cyclones are taking on 1-seed host Stanford in the second round of the NCAA Women’s basketball tournament.

The two teams are going head-to-head right now and there’s no telling which team is going to win because the matchup is so tight. On the Iowa side, Emily Ryan is leading the scoreboard with Addy Brown just behind her, followed by Audi Crooks. As for the Cardinal, Kiki Iriafen leads the scoreboard with Hannah Jump and Cameron Brink just behind her.

The game at Maples Pavilion will decide the fate of these teams for better or worse. But one thing is for sure, the last game against the Maryland Terrapins has popularized Crooks tenfold. As for Purdy, his college affiliations of off-season shenanigans have leveled up.

The 49ers QB living his best life

Brock Purdy recently went on a honeymoon with his wife Jenna in Turks and Caicos and uploaded his fair share of sun-kissed photos. The couple took to Instagram to let everyone know about their fishing date in the middle of an ocean, where the couple sailed on a jetski. The QB’s wife uploaded a photo on IG with captioned, “Honeymoon w/ my husband,” which shows the photo of the couple on the marine vehicle, catching fishes, walking around the beach and taking sun-soaked photos.

But his off season escapades are far from over. The QB recently visited the San Jose State University to film a commercial for a sports drink called Recover 180. He got the endorsement earlier this month. Coincidentally, this is the same place where he filmed the commercial for Alaska Airlines as well. Those commercials were broadcasted by the Niners throughout the season. Hopefully, he gets more such opportunities and keeps prospering.
