Who is Chase McLaughlin’s wife, Jess McLaughlin?

Chase McLaughlin and his wife, Jess, first met in Illinois, and they celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in April. As for Jess’s background and other personal details, not much is known as she likes to keep a relatively low profile. However, what is known is that she has been a pillar of strength in what has been a rollercoaster career for her placekicker husband so far.

Inside Chase and Jess McLaughlin’s family life

Since Chase has played for nine different NFL teams, both he and Jess have together covered many miles. And he has had Jess by his side throughout. “My wife has been great and supporting me through this whole journey. Anytime anyone congratulates me on an opportunity, I tell them to congratulate her, too, because she’s in it just as much as I am.” Chase has shared her thoughts while discussing her wife’s role in her career, life, and family. 

Jess knows how to deal with the nomadic nature of the NFL life. Chase has often talked about how his family has played a big role in dealing with so much change. “The two big things are faith and family,” Chase said. “When I got married after my rookie season, we really just opened our faith deeply together. And we knew that God had a plan for us and then very quickly found out it’s not exactly what we have planned for ourselves, but it’s always what’s best for us.” 

Ever since the Buccaneers signed Chase, his family has made Tampa Bay their new home. To his delight, McLaughlin has found the people to be really friendly and the weather very similar to Houston, where he hails from. “We’ve really liked it here,” he told Tampa Bay Times back in December last year.

How many kids do Chase McLaughlin and Jess have?

Chase McLaughlin is a father to two kids and had a third on the way as of December last year. Not much is known about his children either, but what is important is that their parents have built a great life for them despite the challenges they have had to face moving between cities.

Chances are those challenges are far from over. And McLaughlin knows better than to blindly count on a future in Tampa. “I have slipped into that a couple of times before,” McLaughlin said. “It’s something that you never know what’s going to happen next year. Even though in this profession, you are seeing more multi-year deals, nothing’s ever promised. So I am just looking at it a game at a time,” he said. But no matter what happens, he will have his wife Jess by his side.
