If you’re a Dallas Cowboys fan, you might think that your team is doomed this season. Football season is about to start, and there’s no indication whether the Cowboys’ Big 3, Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons will be here in the near future or not. If you think things couldn’t be much worse, wait till you hear what Jerry Jones had to say about his receiver.

John Machota just gave an update on CeeDee Lamb, and it gives off the impression that the Cowboys owner doesn’t want to get him done. Machota’s post on X said, “Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on contract talks with CeeDee Lamb: ‘I don’t have any urgency to get it done.’”

The news got to CeeDee Lamb, and he’s as nonchalant as ever. In fact, he just laughed it off in his recent reply to Machota’s post. The Cowboys WR re-shared the post, writing, “lol.” Is this some kind of elaborate game? Or are Lamb and Jones just playing with the media? Who knows?

It’s been more than two months since Lamb has been missing from practice. As it happens, the Cowboys receiver has removed “America’s Team” from his X profile. All that’s left right now is for him to unfollow the Dallas Cowboys. Even Micah Parsons re-posted the WRs reply. Things have gotten so bad that even their rival fan pages think the Cowboys are cooked.

This is what Eagles’ Nation tweeted on X, “Micah Parsons retweeted CeeDee Lamb’s frustration with Jerry Jones. They are cooked. 😂.” They look “cooked” indeed. Would you even trust the words coming from the Dallas Cowboys management at this point? COO Stephen Jones says something, and Jerry Jones knocks it down like a house of cards.

Even Dak Prescott is tired of this drama. David Moore from the Dallas Morning News reported Prescott mocking the Cowboys owner, saying, “I can tell you I got a sense of urgency for it to happen.” He does have a sense of urgency to get back with his WR1. He led the league with 36 passing touchdowns last year, while his receiver broke the franchise reception record with 135 catches last year. No wonder Dak Prescott wants him back. He even had a conversation with him recently.

Dak Prescott finally hears from CeeDee Lamb

Prescott turned 31 on July 29 and got a message from CeeDee Lamb. The Cowboys QB was happy that his receiver reached out to him amid all this chaos. The duo is facing a contractual crunch with Jerry Jones, but Prescott assured that Lamb is in top form and will return anytime soon. However, it’s difficult to say if he’ll return after the stunt Jerry Jones just pulled.

“My birthday just passed, and I got a great happy birthday message from him. That led to some talks as well,” Prescott said on Friday. “He shared with me that he wants to get back, ready to get back. Hoping that this thing gets done for him, I know I am as well. Hopefully we can get him back sooner rather than later. I know he is grinding, I know he is itching and working. He is ready to be back with the boys.”

However, as it happens, Cowboys’ COO Stephen Jones just released a statement of his own. He thinks a deal is just around the corner, and the conversation between Prescott, Lamb, and the front office has been very fluid. Albeit, it’s hard to believe.

“We keep having multiple exchanges with CeeDee,” Jones said. “He actually sent us something late [Sunday]. We continue to grind away on it. I would characterize both [Lamb’s and Prescott’s] negotiations as very cordial and upbeat. We’re optimistic we’ll continue to work toward getting something done.”
