Madison Beer is set to kick off 2026 with her highly anticipated fourth album releasing on January 16. To build excitement, the Grammy-nominated singer has already dropped three singles: “Make You Mine” (2024), “Yes Baby” (2025), and “Bittersweet” (2025). But there’s a secret Beer held for way too long when it comes to the upcoming project. 

During her appearance on the Travis Mills Show, Beer revealed something she had stayed tight-lipped about all this time. “I came up with the album title before I even wrote the album, so it’s been a secret I’ve been sitting on for a long while,” she revealed. That is so unlike the previous work of Justin Herbert‘s partner. 

Madison isn’t a big fan of titling her album before finishing all the tracks. Why? It puts her in a box and doesn’t let her think clearly. “I wanted it to feel like something personal to me and something tangible, don’t know why, but my brain calls the shot and I’m just a passenger,” she said while describing the naming part. 

The 26-year-old singer came up with a “long and silly” list of personal items while naming her album “Locket”. She said, “I really want to feel like something that was vintage sounding, something that kind of felt delicate and girly, and locket was one of the words that was on there from the start.” Her producers agreed the music had a “locker core” vibe as they began working on it.

When asked about the meaning behind the title, Beer agreed with Travis that the project is “anchored in love.” She deliberately avoided anything “trendy” and chose a more “timeless” vibe.

Madison Beer loves to keep fans guessing

On October 22, Madison Beer announced her album release date on Instagram. She shared a photo of herself looking down, holding a vintage heart-shaped locket in her fist. The caption reads, “I am soooooo beyond excited for u to listen :’)) this project is my world and metaphorically / literally my heart 🪽🪽locket 1.16 !!!” 

For those who have been following the Sweet Relief singer, it’s no secret that she loves keeping fans guessing. She often drops hints on social media before a release, just like she did with her 2023 album, Silence Between Songs, which she officially announced in May.

In the following months, her web store launched a countdown for the album preorder and released the first track. The music video for Home To Another One featured Beer holding a magazine titled SBS. So clever! This time, she chose heart-themed decor in the MV for her latest track, Bittersweet, clearly hinting at her collection of eleven tracks. NFL fans wonder what her beau will be up to around the time of the big release.
