Lifelong friends, no doubt! For Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews, everything seems to be falling into place together. The Calm Down podcast duo shared some of their best moments on the field during the 2024 season, especially with FOX leading the Super Bowl coverage. Now, after a season filled with highlights, they’re both waiting to see what’s next with their future contracts. But before any of that, there’s already something for them to celebrate together.

Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews both celebrated their birthdays on May 4, and the love poured in. Thompson, who turned 43 this year, took a moment to thank her fans, family, and friends for all the sweet wishes. She reposted a bunch of birthday shoutouts on her Instagram stories – including some for her birthday twin, Erin. But the highlight was the post for Andrews.

Thompson shared a throwback photo with now 47-year-old and wrote, “The fact we share a birthday is the icing on the cake… love you.” Total sister vibes, isn’t it? But that wasn’t all. In another story, Thompson dropped a fun clip of her and Andrews dancing their hearts out at a Justin Timberlake concert last month. It was originally posted by her rumored boyfriend, Steven Cundari, who also sent them birthday wishes. Thompson added a demand for Andrews,We get it. It’s our bday, but I do want to go back to @justintimberlake concert NOW! @erinandrews.”

Honestly, with that much fun, who wouldn’t want a round two? Good thing Timberlake’s hitting California again May 23-25! So, we could see the duo chilling together at the event once again. Till then, Erin Andrews also didn’t miss a chance to show some love to her bestie, as she too posted a lot of pictures with her on IG. In one of the story captions from their hosting days, she wrote for Thompson, “I get to do this life with you!!” calling herself “beyond grateful” in another post.

No doubt, the two find themselves lucky to share birthdays and sets together as leading women reporters in the league. And hence, they deserve all the recognition from their channel.

What’s your perspective on:

Will Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews continue to dominate sports broadcasting, or is change on the horizon?

FOX hints at big news for Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews

FOX still hasn’t made it official, but let’s be real – Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews aren’t going anywhere. On a recent episode of their Calm Down podcast, Thompson already shut down the rumors, saying loud and clear that she’s staying. She said, “No, I am not leaving Fox. I was never leaving Fox. Don’t know where this took on a life of its own. I wouldn’t normally address this because we all get fake headlines. But no, I’m not leaving Fox, I was never leaving Fox. I’m not fired… I hope I die at [Fox]..

Thompson has been with FOX since she was 22, and hence, her relationship with the broadcasting channel is now old and strong. Erin hasn’t confirmed anything herself, but the way she spoke about Jimmy Johnson maybe coming back “every now and then” sure sounded like she plans to be there too. And they might be right, as FOX also hints at the upcoming contracts for them.

On their shared birthday, the network gave them a sweet shoutout, calling them “our girls,” in the caption: “Join us in wishing our girls @CharissaT and @ErinAndrews a very Happy Birthday!!” That one little line says a lot. So, now fans are basically just waiting for the official contract extensions of these two FOX reporters.

Until then, the duo keeps showing up off the field. Charissa Thompson had recently reported from a Blue Origin space mission, and Erin Andrews was skating for a cause in L.A. So while there’s no signature on paper just yet, everything points to them being exactly where they belong!
