Amid speculation about his busy summer, the Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed veteran tight end Travis Kelce, but questions remain about his involvement in upcoming training camps. Kelce and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, are busy preparing for their wedding, scheduled to take place sometime in the summer. Ahead of marriage speculations, head coach Andy Reid is answering questions about his tight end’s availability for the 2026 mandatory camps.

“Travis Kelce has a busy summer coming up, but coach Andy Reid said Tuesday he expected Kelce will be at the team’s mandatory minicamp in early June,” reported Jesse Newell on X. “The mandatory part, I’m sure he’ll be there. He doesn’t like to miss much.”

For the most part, Kelce and Swift have kept the details of their high-profile wedding private. But surprisingly, the date and venue details were leaked a few days ago, significantly upsetting the billionaire singer. According to leaked reports, the couple will be tying the knot on June 13, 2026. The wedding is reportedly scheduled to take place at Ocean Hill, Rhode Island.

Reportedly, the wedding will take place right around the time when NFL training camps begin. So, there was a lot of concern about Travis Kelce missing training camp. But Reid’s statement has somewhat put the Chiefs fans at ease. Reid firmly believes Kelce will be present at the Missouri Western State University camp in St. Joseph. Moreover, in his thirteen-season-long NFL career, the 11-time Pro Bowler has never missed any training camp.

Just for the 2025 season, the 36-year-old was late to the Chiefs’ training camp. He was in Florida attending a high-profile wedding, along with his fiancée. After the wedding was over, he extended his stay, leading to his joining the camp late.

According to Travis Kelce’s new three-year, $54.7 million contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs, including $12M fully guaranteed and up to $3M guaranteed training camp bonus. If Travis Kelce joins the rest of the team in St. Joseph, he will be receiving a major financial boost. Moreover, there also appears to be a one-month gap between his reported marriage and minicamp.

However, further reports also revealed that the Kansas City Chiefs will begin their training camp on July 22 and the first full team practice the next day, leaving an even tighter window for Kelce and Swift to prep for a wedding. But for the power couple, even a reported 13 June wedding appears somewhat complicated.

“The problem is, there aren’t a lot of other options as far as their schedules go. They have a very tight timeline because it all has to fit around Travis’ football schedule,” HeatWorld reported. “Taylor totally supports him going back for another season; it’s what he loves, but it hasn’t made the wedding planning easy. Or the honeymoon, for that matter, because he’s going to have such limited availability once the preseason starts.”

The Chiefs’ TE is also a co-founder of the Tight End University, whose offseason programs are generally scheduled for June. The timeline has added another layer of concern to their wedding preparations, amidst multiple leaked reports pointing to their wedding and honeymoon plans.

Once the wedding eventually takes place, the couple will head to a “three-week world tour for their honeymoon, covering the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia,” as reported by The U.S. Sun.

“They have been planning this for weeks and have already informed friends and family that they will be ‘off the grid’ during this time,” an insider reported. “Unless there is an emergency, they want to limit outside contact to truly immerse themselves in this once-in-a-lifetime experience before Travis returns to the football field.”

Travis and Taylor will reportedly begin their honeymoon in the Bahamas and then move to the Italian coast and Lake Como, followed by Paris, the French Riviera, and eventually Croatia. A visit to the Fiji Islands and then Hawaii will serve as the final stop of their honeymoon trip.

While nothing is official yet, both the Chiefs and the couple’s fans are looking forward to official updates as the couple works behind the scenes on their upcoming wedding.
