Andy Reid has spent three decades turning NFL milestones into wins. However, there is one piece of history at Allegiant Stadium that does not have the Kansas City Chiefs‘ head coach losing any sleep. As the Chiefs prepare for a crucial AFC West showdown, Reid was informed about a milestone that could put his name at the top of an unusual NFL record. The HC’s response is making it clear where his priorities are right now.

“#Chiefs HC Andy Reid finding out that he could become the winningest coach in Allegiant Stadium history on Sunday: ‘Thank you. I didn’t know that, and I don’t really care.’😂,” reported NFL insider Ari Meirov on X.

Ahead of their matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, the HC’s reaction was short and typically blunt. Reid has six wins at Allegiant Stadium since it opened in 2020, which ties him with former Raiders coach Josh McDaniels and Antonio Pierce for the most in the building.

The stat has an odd twist. Every one of Reid’s wins there was with Kansas City as the visiting team. Five were regular-season wins over the Raiders, and the sixth was the Chiefs’ win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.

A seventh win would make Reid the only coach with that record. The Raiders’ coaching has also helped shape this list. Jon Gruden won four games there, and Rich Bisaccia added three before McDaniels and Pierce each reached six.

Reid, however, is focused on execution and the opponent, ensuring that the Kansas City Chiefs maintain their winning streak after coming off a 6-11 season where they finished 3rd in the AFC West division and 12th in the AFC. Kansas City entered the game at 3-0 after missing the playoffs last season.

The Raiders are also undefeated at 3-0, so the matchup will be very interesting. A Chiefs win can keep them undefeated heading into their Week 5 bye. However, Kansas City leads the all-time series 76-56-2, but Las Vegas won 14-12 in their last meeting in January, the only loss that kept Reid’s Allegiant Stadium record from looking neat.

“He [Mahomes] knows what it is. It’s war. There are no other words needed. You know what I mean? That’s as simple as that. So, yeah, I can’t wait. There’s a lot of work to be done till we get there, but, yeah, it’s war.”

The Chiefs HC has made it clear that the record won’t shape his preparation. If the Chiefs win, however, history will follow him regardless of whether he cares about it or not.
