She appears to be dating Derek Green, the son of former Chiefs quarterback and franchise icon Trent Green. Fans believe the relationship might just be meant to be. Starcade Media, run by Noah Gronniger and Clint Switzer, posted on Twitter: “It appears #Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt is now in a relationship with Derek Green. He is the former SMU quarterback who also happens to be the son of former Kansas City QB Trent Green.” Green has appeared in several of Gracie’s recent social media posts.

In early May, Gracie and Derek attended the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, where she shared a photo captioned, “Living life in the fast lane with @RaisingCanes.” Also, they made a more formal appearance at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C. Derek wore a custom tuxedo from Peters Clothiers, who proudly posted, “Derek Green with Gracie Hunt at the Correspondence Dinner in Washington, DC!” As per sources, they first crossed paths at Arrowhead Stadium.

Derek Green, former quarterback for SMU and Long Island University, later took his talents to Europe. He has played with European professional teams in France, Italy, and Sweden. Green earned four AAC All-Academic Team selections, and SMU nominated him for the Burlsworth Trophy.

And, he has watched his father, Trent Green, orchestrate a 13-3 season with the Chiefs. He calls himself “a Chiefs fan through and through.” His family’s basement is a shrine to Kansas City’s 2003 golden era. Today, Derek works in sports operations at Creative Planning in Overland Park and volunteers as a football coach at Rockhurst.

From Arrowhead to international runways, F1 paddocks to presidential dinners, this pairing is bigger than just relationship goals. It’s Kansas City royalty 2.0. And, this comes after Gracie Hunt quietly closed the chapter with Cody Keith.

Gracie Hunt’s quiet separation from Cody Keith

Before dating Derek, Gracie was in a relationship with Cody Keith, a North Carolina native, real estate broker, and former East Carolina QB. After brief stints in NFL rookie camps and the Canadian Football League, he transitioned into real estate, joining his family’s firm, The Keith Corporation, in 2019. Gracie publicly confirmed the relationship last year, in September.

Since then, several high-profile events, including the Breakaway Music Festival, Halloween parties, Chiefs games, and charity fundraisers, have featured the couple together. However, in the latter section of 2024, things took a turn. All mentions of Cody quietly vanished from Gracie’s social media, and fans got the cue that things had come to a close.

Gracie, who was crowned Miss Kansas USA 2021, regularly attends Chiefs events. Hence, Cody’s absence was easily noted by her fans. Gracie celebrated her 26th birthday in March 2025 without Cody, sharing posts only with family and friends.

And Cody Keith separately posted some “spectacular memories” in March, without any sign of Gracie. By April 2025, multiple outlets confirmed the split. Notably, Gracie has now moved on while sharing photos with Derek Green. And, it seems like the new power couple in the town, Gracie and Derek, are already winning over the fans.
