Looks like Patrick Mahomes definitely heard all the chatter about whether the Kansas City Chiefs could hang with the Buffalo Bills for their next game. The Chiefs had a shaky start, and now they have reminded everyone why they are the NFL’s one elite regiment. They have taken five of their last six games where Mahomes is back with an MVP-level performance. He has managed to reconnect with his weapons like Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice, and Xavier Worthy. But don’t get too comfortable, he has a strong message for the Locker room.

Mahomes is ready to take on the reigning MVP

Patrick Mahomes has built quite a rivalry with the Buffalo Bills. He holds a 5-4 career record against them across regular season and playoffs. In the regular season, he’s 1-4, but when it comes to the postseason, Mahomes owns them with a perfect 4-0 record.

Josh Allen and the Bills may have the upper hand in the regular season, winning four of the last five, but Mahomes and the Chiefs have completely dominated when it mattered the most…the playoffs. Despite the on-field “rivalry”, Mahomes speaks highly of the reigning MVP.

“To be that size and to be able to move like that, he’s done so many great things as far as throwing the football,” Mahomes said of his rival Allen on Wednesday. ” … The way he’s able to extend plays and be close to the sideline and make these big-time throws down the field, that stuff is special. He’s gotten better and better each and every year. I think that’s something that I’ve seen in him and something I try to do for myself as well. He’s a great football player.”

His passer rating is above 100, showing efficiency, and he remains a dual threat with significant rushing production.

On the other hand, Mahomes stands tall with 17 touchdowns and 2nd in passing yards with 2,099 yards, just behind the Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (2,140). Well, on paper, Mahomes appears to outshine Allen, but the Bills are known to knock their opponents by great margins. They are now coming in hot after a convincing victory over the Panthers by 40-9.
