Before he could even begin the season with them, he joined the Chiefs’ practice squad in August. Interestingly, he has been waived by the KC on multiple occasions, yet he remained put and didn’t join any other teams. 

Before Week 16, he had appeared in one more game in 2024 against the Denver Broncos, where he threw for five rushing yards. With the Chiefs, he has two Super Bowl rings to his name as a member of their active roster. The silver lining? He’s not in a high-stakes game, freeing him to shine. It’s already looking good with him going 6-of-8 for 45 yards in the first half.
