When Christian McCaffrey plans a celebration, he goes all in. Take Olivia Culpo’s 33rd birthday, for example. It wasn’t just any birthday, as McCaffrey used it as the perfect moment to throw a Parisian-themed baby shower at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Rhode Island. Why did he choose Newport? It is because the location is Culpo’s hometown. And, just a year ago, the couple tied the knot right there in June 2024.

On Olivia’s 33rd birthday, San Francisco 49ers RB  took to Instagram to drop a love-filled message for his wife. He wrote, “Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife! … There’s been so much to celebrate lately: Birthday, baby shower, and watching you get inducted into the Rhode Island Hall of Fame.” You can feel the pride in those words.

He further continued, “I’m so proud of the person you are. Thanks for the constant inspiration and love you pour out to everyone around you. ❤️🎂.” Culpo was wearing a custom sage green gown from Marchesa, pairing it with Bvlgari jewelry, while McCaffrey, always on point, wore a matching green suit. He posted a black and white photo in the series, followed by a few other snaps, celebrating the best of their lives together.

And, the baby shower was a vibe in itself. In yet another post, Culpo shared the ethereal images from her baby shower. They posed like a glowing couple in front of a floral teddy bear display. The elite event planning was carried out by Lisa Vorce and Lucio Andreozzi under their creative direction.

There was a Piaggio Ape truck handing out espresso martinis labeled “Bébé McCaffrey.” Tuscan-style tables, draped with chandeliers and floral baby mobiles, truly set the mood. Even the nursery wall was beautifully decorated with Bonpoint onesies, teddy bears, and a Silver Cross pram.

What about the big reveal? Sage green wasn’t just a color choice. But the couple has decided to wait until birth to find out the baby’s gender. Culpo shared the news with guests, saying, “Christian and I are waiting until birth to find out the gender of our little one.” Despite his crazy NFL schedule, he showed up, and Culpo praised him for being the “perfect dad-to-be.”

While there has been some noise around Culpo’s relationship with her sisters, Aurora and Sophia, they did show up at the baby shower. Aurora cradled Olivia’s baby bump while Sophia hugged her from behind. Olivia’s mom, Susan, and Christian’s mom, Lisa, also delivered heartfelt messages.

Culpo reflected on the day with Vogue, saying, “It felt really meaningful to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by close family and friends in a place that feels so deeply like home.” And, all of this comes right after Culpo celebrated a major milestone as she was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

And, nobody cheered her as loudly as her husband. Olivia and McCaffrey are still the gold standard couple. Met on a blind date in 2019, locked in with a wedding in 2024, and now counting down to baby number one. McCaffrey was in a proud husband mode as Culpo was inducted. She is not just a pageant queen but a model, actress, businesswoman, and reality TV personality who has made a global impact.
